Question about homeopathy for umbilical granuloma

My almost 3mo old has been receiving weekly treatments of silver nitrate for his umbilical granuloma ~ today our homeopathic pediatrician gave us "calcarea" for him to injest 2xs a day for 5 days. So far, in 3 mos, baby has only had breastmilk and for some reason I'm hesitant to give him something as a medicine. Any one use "calcarea" before? It's like calcium carbonate or something.

We use it for teething and growth spirts, however my son is 26 months.  I feel you on yours being so little and feeling hesitant to give him this.  If those feelings continue.. I would not give it to your LO.  Homeopathy needs to have the "energy" to be effective.  So, if you do decide to give it, you have to believe in it, KWIM?

 

The silver on the other hand is effective, topically.
