I found this quiz while I was bored and googling stuff.  It predicts when you will go into labor based on you, your partner, and your previous births.  

It says I'll be 2-3 weeks early and will have my baby in the morning after laboring for about 11 hrs.  And that he'll be 6.2 lbs.  Hmmm!!  

Sorry if anyone has already posted this...I didn't notice it before!

YAY Fun! Thanks for sharing.  Just one issue I had with the quiz- It didn't allow for c-sections! My DH was a c-section... :-)  So I just put Unsure.  LOL

Here's my result:

That doesn't sound half bad to me, as long as it's not TOO long after my EDD!

Oh, that's annoying about the C section thing!  Hopefully it gathered enough info to give you at least an idea, though.  Not that it necessarily means anything, but it's fun to pretend we can predict!

Eh... it just averaged the info for my birth and my daughter's births. Would dh's birth really make a difference? Seems odd... I'm not related to his mom!

That is fun!  I realized that I don't know how long my mother's labor was with me or if I was early/late/on time.  Same with my dh.  So I guess I better email to find out b/c I want to take the quiz!!

Well, it's predicting a longer labor than with #2 (but not an average of my two), so maybe that's the #3 wild card factor.  But 1-2 weeks early?  Why earlier than both my others?  I wonder if it's working on averages from data entered by mothers or if it's just doing some weird algorithm that someone came up with.

Pretty much what I expected! My other two were 4 and 6 days past my due date, and ~9 lbs each. Although I was kind of hoping for a bit smaller baby this time. 8 or 8 1/2 lbs would be nice!

Unacceptable!  I demand this baby come out sooner.  Haha.  Here is how I see my real birth story:

You were just getting out of the car in the Fred Meyer parking lot.  When you stepped out, you felt a cramp and had to catch your 7 pound 7 ounce baby before it hit the ground.  The end.

My labor prediction quiz isn't very accurate because DH doesn't know much about his history. We were guessing with him, lol. But I sure am annoyed at the prospect that it says we'll have the baby later than our EDD! My mom said I was super overdue when she had me via c-section (2+ weeks, although she exaggerates and says "a month!" which I don't believe LOL). If I go overdue by even a week I think I might have a nervous breakdown.

I don't know if I want a quick labor anymore, though! It sounded nice until I was informed by women I know who have had shorter labors that the shorter they are, the more intense they typically are....... like if you get a Pitocin induction, everything is more intense and less bearable than without. I sure hope that isn't how it is for everyone! If I can have about a 4-6 hour labor that is very bearable, I think I'll be happy. DH just better be home when I go into labor... He works nights and oversees patients on his own so if I call him to rush home, it won't quite be a quick thing for him to leave on the spot. He'll either have to wake patients up and ask them to go home so he can leave, or he'll have to call any other co-worker he can find to come in and take over on the spot. I don't see either of those processes being very quick. lol

This is my understanding for first time labors as well.  If it's short, it's intense b/c the body has to go from 0 to 10 in a short period of time.  With subsequent labors, shorter doesn't necessarily mean more intense b/c the mom is usually starting partially (or even mostly) dilated.

I was born at 36 weeks 6 days... which is where I'm at TODAY.  And I was a 7.5-pounder, but DH was a 9-pounder, so I guess that's where they get the weight prediction??  I was totally healthy and fine (as can be seen by the weight), my mom just baked babies quickly.  All 3 of us were at least 2 weeks early.  And my mom's labor was about 4 hours long with me (and I was her longest labor), but DH's mom was in labor for FOUR. DAYS.  So... yeah.

Here's hoping there's some truth to the saying "like mother, like daughter" !!!

It just averaged my information.  I'm pretty sure if this baby stays put until my due date she's going to be a lot bigger then 7.5 pounds!
