NPC and its effect on subsequent cycle's ovulation date

I have searched everywhere for this, and I just can't find any info.  Hoping maybe you guys here might know something :)

I've been ttc for a few months.  Through my history of charting, my ovulation has always been on cd12 or cd13.

I have used natural progesterone cream post-ovulation on a couple cycles and have found that the subsequent month's ovulation is early - cd9 or cd10.  If I go a month without using NPC, the subsequent month's ovulation is back to cd12/13.

If I don't use NPC post-ovulation, my temps fall below the cover line and don't stay up where they should be.  This is how it was when I was ttc my most recent baby as well.  So, I used NPC and my temps stay nice and high.  I've never had a short LP, though.

It really seems that NPC is causing me to ovulate early the next month...

I'm a bit concerned that it is causing me to ovulate *too* early.  I read that ovulating before cd11 may produce a smaller egg with a harder surface that is difficult to penetrate and fertilize. greensad.gif

I'm wondering if I am in a situation where I can't conceive if I don't use NPC the current cycle - but I won't be able to conceive the next cycle if I use NPC in the current cycle?

Also I'm thinking that possibly using NPC will cause the next cycle's cd3 levels (FSH, LH, E2) to be off - and that is why I ovulate early?

Thanks so much in advance smile.gif

I've heard that early O can also cause a thin uterine lining.  Hmm... have you tried any different supplements to keep your temps up?  When your temps do not remain above the coverline, are they dipping drastically and causing spotting?  Or just on the line a little under it?  I'm wondering if there is really an issue with your progesterone that warrants the cream.  Can you share some of your charts as examples?

I just recalled responding to another one of your posts yesterday where you posted your chart and commenting on how high your temps are and how long your LP is!  What are your temps and LP like when you're not on the cream?  I'm no medical professional, but it doesn't seem to me that you need to be on NPC!
