Best pattern for trim NB dipes?

I want to make a few of these myself, but don't know where to start sizewise. Any recommendations on good patterns?

I don't have a serger or snap press.

I adapted the Honey Boy Home pattern and made nb flannel pocket fitteds out of it. I could stuff as much absorbancy as I wanted in the pocket and then I used wool covers/soakers over them.

It is a super easy pattern and I just sewed them up on my machine and used aplix.

The regular HB Home fitteds weren't very bulky IMO either, but then I don't really mind bulk so my view could be skewed. :LOL

I have some preemie Cuddlebuns and they were really trim. I have never made them but you can buy the pattern.

Have fun!
