Pre-natal contains SLS?!?

Thread Starter

I'm taking Preg-Vit, a perscription pre-natal that separates calcium and iron. I was reading over the information sheet and it turns out it contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate AND talc.

I've always heard those are both things to avoid, so I'm slightly flabbergasted that they would be IN a pre-natal (a time when you're especially trying to AVOID toxins).

I have to admit to not knowing exactly WHY they're bad, I just know I've heard from multiple sources that they're things to stay away from.

Thoughts?

You will find these we chatted about are good pre-vits.

I replied to your thread in I'm Pregnant

Also wanted to say that the whole foods based prenatals are 3 per day, so you space out the pills so your body absorbs the nutrients even better.  If you are concerned about calcium, the ones I posted dont have a lot(most prenatals dont), and I just drink lots of raw milk and eat raw milk cheese to get my calcium.  I also eat nuts, green leafy veggies, etc which all have calcium
