Never had a cyst before & am a little freaked out here...back on 9/29, I got a lump on my right underarm. It was red, swollen & very painful. I went to the Dr immediately & he said it was just a cyst & could be from shaving or just infection related. He said he was 100% confident it was a skin cyst, not deep enough to be anything else. He prescribed an antibiotic in case I had an infection since at the time I did happen to have a little bit of a fever. I didn't take the antibiotic but did go on to get a cold or flu that is still lingering a little but mostly gone. Horrible congestion, mucus cough. The cyst went away on it's own after about a week to 10 days. There is no bump left & a very slight tenderness under my arm.
Yesterday, I developed another cyst on the same side, but more toward the back of the side breast area...I would say it is more toward my back than it is toward my breast, right where the side of your bra is. It is big, very red, very, VERY painful & it has a red scabbed dot in the middle-ish.
What is going on? Should I start that antibiotic now? Why am I getting cysts out of nowhere?
Life has been a little stressful lately, I am 50 lbs heavier than I should be or want to be & I am not getting any sleep at all. Could any of this result in cysts?
