Pregnant with pre-e & hoping for the best but trying to prepare for a possible less than ideal...

Hello everyone! Man, it feels weird posting here, but I am trying to get my ducks in a row and prepare as best I can despite current uncertain circumstances.

I am coming up on 30 weeks of pregnancy and was just diagnosed with preeclampsia yesterday. So far my kidney & liver labs look good and they've got my blood pressure stable with medication and rest, but of course, it's anyone's guess at how long that will last. I'm hoping like crazy for several more weeks of baby baking time, but realistically I know I could have him anytime between now and closer to his due date. It's scary, but I feel lucky that I do have the chance to prepare at least a little!

So... I guess I don't have any specific questions right at this moment, but if anyone wants to give me ANY tips, advice, experience... anything! I would greatly appreciate it!!! smile.gif

All I have is warm thoughts and support.  I had pre-eclampsia after an awful pregnancy and was induced right after 36 weeks.  I had him the same day I was diagnosed.  Our son was small but mighty, as we say smile.gif

I wish you much luck and peace in the weeks to come.  Pregnancy can be so, so scary...these forums sometimes make it all sound so wonderful, but for me, it was 36 weeks of being really, really scared and either being in pain or, at the very least, uncomfortable a lot of the time.

Rest up, mama, and take care.

I totally hear you! I lost my little girl at 17 weeks my last pregnancy, so this one has been pretty scary and full of anxiety with many minor to moderate issues/concerns and then this, the major icing on the cake of what's been a really crazy ride!

Thank you for your good thoughts!! I'm so glad your son did well! love.gif
