Can I rear-tether any RF car seat as long as the car has a RF tether point?

I read on carseat.org that our car (New Beetle) has a RF back tether in the floorboard. Does this mean that I can rear-tether the back latch of any car seat to it? (I'm assuming that ALL car seats now have the L.A.T.C.H. system now.

You can only rf tether car seats that allow the car seat to  rf tether.  So the radians and the britax seats (and I think the new concorro).

  • Oh, okay so the rear tether on car seats intended for L.A.T.C.H. isn't for RF tethering?

Sorry, my previous post wasn't clear so I edited.  All car seats have an upper tether.  Only a  few allow that tether to be used rfing.  It can always be used ffing.  You car seat manual will say if rf tethering is allowed.
