My DD3 is 17 months. She has had her teeth (including molars and incisors) in since 13 months, and a dental exam 2 weeks ago showing teeth and gums in great health. Last Wed she spiked a fever...lasted 3 days. Fri evening we noticed the above her left front tooth and the tooth next to it, the gum was very red and inflammed. We ent to the Dr the next morning and they also found some puss and yuck behind the tooth. They decided it was likely an infection and gave her abx, which wehappily took. Fever broke that morning. May be unrelatd. She is 4 doses into hgih powered abx. The gum has now swollen over her teeth and just keeps bleeding. We will go back to dr tmrw, but does anyone hve thoughts here? She has other health issues and we are trying to sort out if this could be a symptom of something more. She is refusing to eat (she lives on a powered presciption of only amino acids, due to a GI disease that causes her body to react to food as a pathogen)...and is dropping 1-2oz daily.
