Playgroups in Eastern CT

We've been in CT for over a year now and the only other families with kids we know are from my DH's work. I don't really have much in common with the mothers so playdates are such a struggle. Anyone know of any good playgroups in the Hartford area? My son will be 2 in Feb. Thanks for any input!

How close are you to New Britain?  The Family Wellness Center there has awesome programs, all of which are free.  There's a a bunch of "crunchy-ish" groups that meet there... LLL, Attachment Parenting International, and Central CT Babywearers to name a few.  Lots of other general playgroups too.  If you want more information or a calendar or to get on their email list, you can get in touch with the director, Anna... her email is rogersa@chc1.com.

Or alternatively, there's a Family Wellness Center in Middletown too.  I just noticed that your title said "eastern" CT but you mentioned Hartford, which is why my mind went to New Britain first.

New Britian is about 40 minutes away and Hartford is 20 minutes away. Not exactly sure where Middletown is but I will look into both recommendations. Thanks so much for the info! smile.gif
