Friend's TT baby got clipped and now latches really bad - advice?

My friend's daughter got her tongue tie clipped yesterday. She nursed immediately after and latched perfectly. Since then her latch has been horrible - mama says it's like she's just learning to nurse and doesn't know what she's doing.

Any suggestions? She's also got a high arch palate and overactive gag reflex, the TT was just one of the problems. She is getting CST treatment and I think is going again today.

She IS just learning to nurse all over again because she'd adapted to the tie. My DS1 was clipped at 3 weeks, DS2 at one day - major difference. She can try suck training with her finger to encourage babe to get that tongue over his lower gum and lip. Can she talk to an IBCLC or LLL leader?

I told her about the suck training too, that's not going well either (but she's trying). She's seeing an LC later today.

Bummer. How old is the babe? Sometimes just getting bigger and more expert at nursing helps. I hope it works out for her!

That happened after our first clip at 1 mth old. In fact, my babe still couldnt nurse until he was 12 weeks old.  We did cranial sacral therapy for the high aech and just kept practicing (I also had to pump/supplement with bottles).  He's ebf now.
