Post Your Signs of Labor...Or False Alarms :) - Page 12

I've had off and on prodromal labor for weeks now. I barely pay attention to it. I was still contracting when I went to sleep last night--I was frustrated, sore and tired because of it! Mine are 1-3 minutes apart for hours on end every few days. The longest I've had to deal with that was 11 hours so far. Bah. I'm not counting it as labor until my water breaks.

39 weeks and 3 days here.  Contractions every night for the past 4 nights but completely settled down by morning.  My parents are coming in tonight to take care of DD so I'm hoping for an appearance soon!  DD was born on her due date so - don't know why I was expecting any different with this one but it sure is getting hard to wait!

I've been contracting for the past 3 nights.  Always around the same time for about 2 hours.  I hope all this practicing is working, although I am only at 37 weeks...

I've never seen anything like it before. There was no blood, though. Must've been mucous plug? No place else it could've come from. I kind of wish I had taken a closer look before flushing but I wasn't going to fish it out, lol.

Of course then I read up on mucous plugs and it sounds like it still doesn't indicate when you'll go into labor if there's no bloody show. irked.gif bah humbug

It's true that when you lose your plug is highly variable and if there is no blood with it then that doesn't give you a clue about dilation.  Again, my plugs are never white- always yellow.  To me, that sounds like EW CF, which is not at all uncommon during pregnancy.  EW CF will ball up and sink when it hits water.

I started having contractions about every 10 minutes apart yesterday, and they continued all last night and today.  So I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but yet, I'm still hoping for a baby tonight or tomorrow.....I'm 39 weeks 5 days today so it's totally possible.

Exciting Katie!!  Sending good labor vibes your way!

No bloody show or mucous plug yet, but I've been having random painful contractions for weeks, but they seem to have picked up today (have been about every 9 minutes or so since this morning, lasting 30 -45 minutes AHEM seconds) - and my legs and back are really sore too, and the SPD is almost unbearable. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow, but we are SO not ready for this baby. No names picked out, my clothes are STILL in suitcases, the sidecar is not leveled with the bed (and on and on and on). I've been visualizing Nov 7th for this baby, and I would LOVE for him/her to stay comfy until then.

Wow, I can't believe how quickly this is all happening all of a sudden!  I hope you ladies that are contracting for days and nights are able to get some rest!

Oy. Last night I was up from 1-6am with incredibly intense gas pains that I was worried at one point were contractions. I was flipping out wondering how I could have gone from 0 to 60 in terms of intensity with no signs of impending labor. Fortunately it wasn't contractions, but it kind of freaked me out - I don't think I've had anything that felt *that much* like contractions before. I was telling my hubby today that I'm getting a little freaked out about labor - I hated that out of control feeling, and I haven't had time to prepare like I wanted to greensad.gif

I'm getting seriously annoyed.  They are still regular 10 minutes apart, if I walk they get a little more intense, and I find myself alternating between throwing a temper tantrum in my head saying "Just COME ON baby, get OUT already"  and mentally whining "ooooh these are starting to hurt, I don't want it to hurt, stop already..."

I don't know if I am envious or feel sorry for those that are actually having uterine activity. lol I want stuff going on, but it's way too early. I'll feel better about it all happening in 2 weeks.

Yeah I'm not jealous.  LOL.  I need baby to stay in.  I also acknowledge that it could happen anytime, so I try to tell myself that it would be okay... we would finish any undone projects later, we would make it work, etc.  But I really want him to stay cozy a bit longer.  I'm 37 + 3.

Yeah, I'm not quite ready yet either..  Odds are that we'll both be pregnant for another 3+ weeks anyway..

Ugh! Do NOT put the "+" sign after the 3 on that one, Abra. The LAST thing I want is to go anything more than 7 days over my due date. lol

So I had to check myself, esp. after having contrax all night that kept me up and were sometimes hard to deal with.  I'm almost at a 4, with bag o' waters bulging and baby's head right-there.  I can feel where the cephalic plates are coming together, heh.  Still having bloody show, lots of contrax, abt 10-ish min apart all day, some of which feel intense and others, not as much.

Hoping for something to really get started here shortly!!  orngtongue.gif  I just today finally washed and put away baby clothes, and gathered up birth supplies in my bedroom--LOL.  I think DH thinks it'll be soon, too.  Here's hoping he's right!

Yay, Krystal!!! Think you'll have a Halloween baby? You're almost half dilated, so woot woot! Bring on the labor train!

I tried checking myself tonight, and I couldn't figure out WHAT was going on.  Last week I was maybe 1-2 centimeters, and tonight all I feel is mush mush and more mush.  Sorry, TMI I'm sure.

Could be your cervix softening up? I was just going to add that I checked myself after reading Krystal's post( Sheepish.gif ) and found that I now CAN feel my cervix, and it's super soft, like the inside of my cheek and I can insert a finger. So would that mean 1 cm?
