My guess was for Nov. 1st (twins).  Keep those babies in 1 more day!  lol.gif

Hoping for something to really get started here shortly!!  orngtongue.gif  I just today finally washed and put away baby clothes, and gathered up birth supplies in my bedroom--LOL.  I think DH thinks it'll be soon, too.  Here's hoping he's right!

That sounds promising!!

That would be my guess?

Ugh. Contractions have let up a bit now and I can hardly reach my cervix. Why would it go back up?! Erg. I'm having super bad hip/tailbone pain today and my husband is still convinced that it's happening soon (actually, driving me a bit nuts about it). I feel a bit more ready now though. After tomorrow's ICAN meeting and once I have the birth pool, we're go for launch in my mind. haha

My understanding is just the tip if your finger is 1cm, if you can insert the entire finger, but it's tight that's like 1.5ish and if it loose around the one finger, but you can't fit two, then that's 2cm.  A tight fit around two fingers is about 2cm.  Anyway, I've read this site before for some other ways to assess what's going on:  http://sarahvine.wordpress.com/2010/03/07/how-dilated-am-i-assessing-dilation-without-an-internal-exam/

Yeah, it was just easy for me to tell last time I was 1-2 centimeters, and this time everything felt different.  I've never cared to know my dilation with the other girls and still don't care for anyone else to go poking around, so I'm kind of guessing blind this time.  I don't know why I'm so obsessive with this pregnancy.  I'm due tomorrow.  Still lots of cramping, lots of contractions, but nothing I can't sleep through.  I do find it strange that they haven't stopped, but haven't increased either.  Oh well.

I don't know if the entire finger can go in, cuz my cervix isn't far enough down but the knuckle closest to my fingernail will go in. So, I don't know what that would count as. lol Oh well, all's I know is that I'm dilated some! biggrinbounce.gif

I think that's more than the tip!  So I'd say 1.5ish cm!

I've never been abe to reach my cervix (very short fingers, lol), but I was inspired to try today. It's very posterior, soft but not dilated at all. I could barely reach it. So yeah....nothing going on here! I'm only 36+3 though, and my other two were born 40+6 and 40+4, so I wasn't really expecting anything. I could feel the baby's head really low, though, which explains all the crazy sharp cervical pains and will hopefully make something happen.

Well, that's about what I thought it was. I know that cm doesn't necessarily determine how long until the big day, but it still excites me. lol

I feel the same way.  It just means less work to be done later, right?  I'm so curious!!  I've never been good at determining my CP let alone dilation so I'm waiting until Friday when I see my mw to get an internal.  I'll nearly be full term so hopefully she'll consent.

Well, hey, I stayed closed pretty tight with my DD until 39 weeks. He's also been feeling lower ever since I got the yoga ball and he's starting to irritate my pelvic bone. All I gotta say is that better be head and not his butt down there. I was doing tons of rocking and tilts on the ball last night and felt him turn over and he spun front to back and then to the side after that. Lock and load, baby!

Possibly, my water just broke. I'm kind of uncertain. I've done this before, you'd think I'd know right? I woke up feeling like I'd peed my pants just a little. Laid there for a minute trying to decide if that's what happened when it started happening again. Got up headed to the bathroom and was leaking pretty good all the way there. Once I made it to the toilet, I know I peed some too... so I can't really decide if I just wet the bed or if my water broke. I mean, I didn't feel like I had to pee so bad I'd wet my pants but pregnancy is weird so who knows... eyesroll.gif

Yep. Pretty sure it's my water that broke. Just happened again. This is exactly how it went with my first... several small gushes. No contractions so far.

Yay!  Peaceful labor vibes to you!!!   biggrinbounce.gif  And wow we have a lot of ladies with their water breaking prior to labor, what's up with that?  It's only supposed to happen about 10% of the time!

I know, right?! That's the number I'm familiar with as well. My water broke with dd2, also.... maybe it's a November thing? :)

Heh, maybe that means (statistically speaking) that the rest of us will have intact BOW.  Ha!

I've been feeling all sorts of weird stuff going on in the last hour. Ugh I don't feel well. It started with this bad crampy soreness from the mid to top of my uterus that I had to breathe through and rub my belly till it calmed down. Then I got up and made some lunch. Ten minutes later I sat down and the baby was moving in this crazy way I've never felt before! It felt like she was wiggling like a worm down into my pelvis. Her butt or feet were kicking me up in the ribs and simultaneously I could feel her head as if it was knocking towards my butt! I've never felt movement quite, um, back/down there like that... I'm getting really crampy. My mid/low back and hips are sore and the front of my abdomen feels kind of dull throbby. I wonder what's going on, if anything.

I think I'm going to lay down and try to nap. I have my GBS test in 2 hours with the clinical midwife for my cooperative care. I'm going to have her check out my cervix while she's down there anyway. I haven't had any pelvic exams during my entire pregnancy. It's silly to think that I'm kind of nervous about someone checking me out down there! It's always been a breeze when I've gone for annual exams but during pregnancy I've been kind of on guard like "hey stay out angry.gif". lol

Zzzz....
