I broke down and ate meat. . . back on the wagon with a question.

So, I was running low on quick things for me to eat.  My family isn't completely onboard with the vegan thing and I was making them some chicken.  I was really wanting that chicken. . . and finally just ate it.  Since AF came the next day, I am wondering if my craving was related to that.

Anyone?

Definitely related. I've found myself craving cheeseburgers and the like just before AF on more than one occasion. I've given in too. Don't sweat it. Onward and upward and so forth. :-)

Yup. There are times of the month where I really crave higher levels of protein. I can usually pull through, although I have fallen off the wagon myself. I don't know how you feel about it, but sometimes if I know I'm on the verge I will eat fish. I'm not in the camp that believes that fish don't have nerves or whatever, they are still a living being in my mind, but for some reason I can cope better with eating a fish than with eating a cow or a chicken. Go figure.

Thank you for your replies.  It is nice to know that it could be related and that others have 'cravings' too.  I hope that as I find more well-balanced meals that I will be able to handle the cravings better.  On the plus side, my other bothersome pre-AF issues weren't really happening.  Maybe that is also because of my better diet.  AF kinda surprised me this month.

Oh, "Aunt Flo"!  I finally get it.  No, I actually don't crave meat at any time.  You will probably eventually stop craving it, too.

The great thing about being the one who cooks dinner is that the fam can either get on board, or sit hungry at the train station.  I hope they brought a snack.  :-)
