Yesterday I really had to have a cobb salad with blue cheese... but I paid for that later.

Mostly I've been eating plain stuff- cheese, crackers, lots of eggs, bananas, peanut butter etc. It's funny because during my last pregnancy, I wanted to eat jalapenos on everything! This time around I can't handle anything spicy or even onions. I'm not craving sweet things with DD's pregnancy either- so I don't know what to think!

I sure hope I can start eating some better stuff soon though.

Meal of choice lately is gfdf chocolate chip pancakes with maple syrup and scrambled eggs. The namaste brand gf pancake mix is so yummy (and dangerous to my healthy eating and wallet). Other favorite dish this weekend was a north african chicken stew with quinoa. Relieved because up until recently the thought of chicken was making me sick.

OOhhhh, yummy!!!  The GF chocolate chip pancakes sound delicious.  DH made some the other day and I asked him to make the entire package of mix and we'd freeze them (or what ever) so I could eat them when I needed/wanted something to eat.

I ate a normal lunch at Ruby Tuesday today! A chicken avacado/swiss sandwich with no bun and grilled zucchini. I felt good after, too! If only I could eat out every meal!

Now I'm going to reheat some more egg drop soup. I'm out of rice and too lazy to make some.

I think I need to get some egg drop soup. I keep reading about it from people here and it sounds good!

Oh yeah... and today I ate like crazy since the Zofran brings me such relief. I was so hungry! I was dehydrated and underfed from the nausea, so I think today made up for it. Breakfast of a little oatmeal, half a bagel with peanut butter and honey, an apple, and a few cherry tomatoes. First lunch was three stuffed pasta shells with marinara. Second lunch was a bowl of stuffed pepper casserole. Third lunch was a bowl of veggie and chickpea curry soup. Dinner was more of the stuffed pepper casserole, this time with cheese on top and some more apple. Lots and lots of water with lemon all day long. I feel like a normal person (well, minus the three lunches thing.)

Tomorrow my aim is for lots and lots of fruits and veggies and lots of water too- I'm worried about the Zofran causing constipation.

IDK. I have had morning sickness with every one of my pregnancies and I still don't know how best to deal with it. With my first, I threw up a lot, was nauseous constantly till 22 weeks, and survived on Bugles, graham crackers, and caffeine-free Pepsi. Even water would come right back up. I lost 15 pounds before I ever gained one. With my second, I drank orange juice and ate green olives constantly... I didn't feel the constant nausea but, ironically, I threw up All.The.Time. I don't really remember the details of my m/s with the next 2 pregnancies, nor do I remember what foods I ate to survive. With my last pregnancy, I craved refried beans and mexican rice all the time and indulged my cravings as much as possible. I was violently ill till 17 weeks. Now, I am here, 8 weeks... I just feel like there is NO WAY I can make it 4 or 8 or 12 more weeks of this... constant nausea, rumbly-feeling tummy, gagging all the time... NOTHiNG sounds good. nothing is palatable at all. Reading through this thread for ideas of something I might could stomach is making me wretch... seriously. I am scraping by on toast, salt-and-vinegar potato chips, and decaf sweet tea. I want to want good foods, but I just can't think of anything to eat... blah.

This is me for the last 3 weeks and counting. I'm so sorry we're in this boat together. I am just hoping and praying that it passes quickly.

it's causes BAD constipation, you really should try to stay ahead of it!!

This, BTW, is exactly how I felt today (so far) I've been struggling to eat so today when I took a phenergan around 10:30a, because I was afraid I was going to throw up on the dentist, I actually felt like I could eat more than a bite or 2 ....SO I ate 4 potato skins (you know, you bake them then take out the insides and line the skins with shredded cheese and bacon bits! OH and with sour cream) and a bowl of rice chex w/bananas in it, then about 1 tbsp w/peanut butter and jelly mixed with banana chunks in it too.  OMG I feel like I just ate enough for like 4 people LOL

I made a big pot of cabbage soup last night, tastes sooo good today.  I like to add a spoon of fat free sour cream to it.

cabbage

onion

bell pepper

carrot

tomato juice

water

veggie boullion

pinch of sugar

italian seasoning

bay leaf

morningstar crumbles

I just made vegetable soup and I love it. Totally not filling though.  Cabbage soup sounds really good... maybe tomorrow!

I am SO over egg drop soup. Reminds me of feeling sick now.

I still want sushi! I might go get some if I can be sure they won't put gluten in it... and if I had the energy to go get it...

Rice chex and bananas sounds good too. I ate a potato with cheddar cheese on it (don't have any bacon) today too.

fried egg sandwiches on toast with mayo. over easy. i know you arent supposed to but i cant eat them any other way and i want it over easy. like right now. i have eaten 3 sandwiches today for a snack. eat breakfast, have sandwich, eat lunch, have sandwich, eat dinner, have sandwich. lol. and raspberry iced tea from snapple. at least it doesnt have hfcs in it. i need to find some kind of way to add flavor to stuff without using fruit. sigh. i hate artificial flavor but it seems to me that will be the only way i can change the flavor of my tea or water or anything. does anyone know where i can get something like that?

Right now I'm LOVING:   homemade potato soup (with cheese added when served), bean burritos with cheese, tangerines, frosted mini wheats and ice cold milk, and the occasional piece of halloween candy.  oops :)

I'm enjoying fried eggs (over easy) on GF toast with american cheese.  And sometimes turkey ham.

i like over easy egg sandwiches lately too.

today i am eating turkey or roast and pumpkin pie at the inlaws. they are awesome cooks. i am trying to control my sugar in prep for the gd diet i know i will be on. but i gotta have one piece of pumpkin pie. at least i want put whip cream on it or eat the apple pie full of fructose right? lol.

I'm so jealous of those of you having a turkey day today (Thanksgiving was last month for Canadians)!  A roast dinner actually sounds wonderful right now. I might have to roast a chicken this weekend.

I'm 10 weeks today. Mostly I've been craving mashed potato and pastas. We have Nando's in SA (chilli grilled chicken) and I can't get enough. Before my preg I could eat vast vast amounts of chocolate but my capacity for choclate has definitely decreased. Too much sweet makes me feel sick. I usually have a health appetite but have only been eating out of necessity. Fortunately I haven't had any morning sickness thus far.

My capacity for enjoying food is slowly coming back and one of my food cravings from the very early weeks (before morning sickness) has come back- VINEGAR. DW made some quinoa and black beans for dinner and I ate about four bowls of it doused with red wine vinegar and a little salt. Man, the things that sound good when we're pregnant...
