I guess since we've had the first baby born, it's time to start a thread for births. Hopefully I won't be updating this for a couple months.

Once we start getting lots of babies being born, I'd ask that you please post in the thread so I can update easily. Include any details you'd like, but hopefully you'll include baby's name/sex (if you want include whether you were expecting a boy or girl)/birth date/length & weight/place or type of birth. If you post a birth story & would like me to link to it, please let me know.

Nova Elise Whitney 12/15 6:12 pm 5 lbs 15 oz 20 inches vaginal birth

Induction due to kidney issues, they broke my water and I went from 2cm to 10 cm in 2 hours! Pushed For 45 minutes and tada! I did get an epi though and she's Breast feeding like a Camp. She was born 37.weeks 4 days gestation. No problems!

Hello all! Our babies were born this morning within a minute of each other starting at 08.40. It couldn't have gone better, and we are so happy! The boys weighed just over 5 lbs, and our little girl came in at almost 6 lbs! The identical boys are 18 inches long, and the girl is 18.5. Their names are Eugene, Forest, and Emmeline. They were whisked away (though in the same room where I could see them and hear their hearty cries) for a couple minutes to be checked out by doctors, and then I got them on my chest and they basically haven't moved since then :). Not a single minute in the NICU and needed nothing but mom and dad's hugs and kisses. They are just beautiful and we couldn't be happier with how the surgery went and how our children were handled afterwards. We are all now cozy in our suite at the hospital, and will probably stay here for a week or two until the breastfeeding/pumping comes along well and the midwives are happy with baby weight gain and routines.
