Has anyone heard of this company or used their products? Are they truly natural?  Someone called me today that has just joined their company and wanted my dh and I to listen to their information....I said I'd have to at least look into what's in the products first but their website seems to be down at the moment (red flag? not sure)....so I thought this might be the best place to ask about it....  Anyone?

They are an MLM. Products are "natural" but not always organic. Sales pitches are very strong, and you're encouraged to sign up for monthly multi-product delivery, and refer your friends.

Check out www.cosmeticdatabase.com and you can search for the safeness of their health and beauty products.  They are really all about the money, and you need to buy $50 a month in products from them.  You can't just buy one or two.  They also charge a yearly membership fee.  Rip. Off.

My ex-BIL got involved with this company a long time ago (like 10 years ago) so I know they've been around a while.  I never saw his "sales pitch" but just from the things he told me it seemed like Amway, on steroids.  I'd stay away.

I avoid MLMs anyway, but a "friend" became a Melaleuca consultant and tried to convince me that their tea tree oil is the ONLY real/pure tea tree oil you can buy. It was ridiculously expensive, and while I liked it better than the stuff I get at Trader Joe's, I couldn't see spending the money on it. Then I decided to splurge and get some, and found that you have to buy X amount of merchandise per month. So I looked at the rest of the site to see if it would be worth it to switch, since I'm all about natural cleansers etc. It was so outrageously expensive, and there is no way I could ever use that much stuff to justify a monthly purchase of it all. Crazy. It turned me off completely.

They have a few products I loved!  I used to babysit for this family that had a huge farm and a crazy lab who loved to paw you only after he had been running around the manure!  In their laundry room they had some Melaluca spot cleaner.  Holy schmoly you sprayed it and wiped it off!  However they use tea tree oil in EVERYTHING!  Ok not everything but almost everything and their products could dry you out in seconds.  Most things smelled very strong too.  That was over 16 yrs ago and a lot could have changed but they've been around forever!

Okay....thank you!  I don't wish to buy that much every month so I think I'll just avoid it all.

Maybe a late comment, but this is my two cents:

I do love some of the Melaleuca products.  They work well.  However it is ridiculously expense.  There is no need to join their monthly buying club - their products last so long that you don't need to replenish them that frequently.  They sell their products super concentrated, and it's up to you to dilute them with water.  (To to PP who mentioned they used very strong products, it may either not have been diluted enough or was being used full strength.)

I also find that since switching to baking soda/vinegar for most of my cleaning, the variety of products offered just isn't that necessary.

I was under the assumption that you have to join and are commited to a monthly order amount. Where can you just buy one of something?

I am a ACV and baking soda die hard, but their bathroom cleaner smells so good to me.A friend gave me a tiny bit to test out. I loved it.

When I went to my friend's home party thing, I had to sign up for a (paid) membership before I bought anything.  Maybe if you just go through an agent you don't have to?

My friend sells it and gave me a few items for Christmas. I really liked it. She told me she has to order so much every month, so if I ever want something, I can buy it for her cost and just make it part of her shipment. But then, she's not interested in selling or recruiting.

they do the hard sell. see above posts. and are a mlm and the sales pitch is all about sales. alot of the cleaning products you can do yourself for a heck of alot cheaper. i would skip it and if you do decide to but google meluca scam or some similar thing.

I went to one of those sales parties too, if only they'd let me buy a few products at a reasonable price instead of sign up I would have loved to get a bit and help my friend out. But no it's this ridiculous buy monthly and try to get others to sign up thing.

Wow I did not realize people were so against Melaleuca stuff! I am a rep and I LOVE their stuff!!!

You dont have to buy that much each month...we buy my prenatal vitamins, hubby's multivitamins, and one or two other items whatever we need at the time and we are good to go! Their renew lotion is the best I have seen and everything is so concentrated if you compare it to the stores it is cheaper. To each their own but its def. not a scam...sorry people dont like it but maybe everything was not properly explained...

their cleaning supplies are def. all natural and excellent products. Its all I use and it lasts a long time!

Please no one get mad at me for endorsing them but there are always two sides to a story =)
