Dear all,

I'm an infertility survivor and a law professor at Indiana University who is undertaking a new research study on IVF, Informed Consent, and the role that emotions play in treatment decision-making. I am posting this call for participants for an anonymous online survey after checking with an admin.  Thanks so much, and have a wonderful day!

Best,

Jody

ANNOUNCEMENT

Have you or your partner undergone an in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle in the past 5 years?
If so you may be eligible to participate in an online research study assessing how IVF patients experience informed consent and make treatment decisions, being conducted by Dr. Jody Madeira at the Maurer School of Law, Indiana University – Bloomington, Prof. June Carbone of the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, and Nicole Smith, Ph.D. candidate, Indiana University.

You will complete an online survey about your experiences with informed consent during your IVF cycle(s). This survey will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Your answers will be entirely anonymous and confidential.  The results of this survey will be used for academic publications in law and medicine.

At the end of the survey, you will have the option of leaving your e-mail address to enter a drawing for one of several $20 Amazon gift cards that will be delivered electronically.

At that time, you will also have the option of completing a separate survey about how infertility has affected your quality of life and personal relationships. This survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. At the end of this survey, you will have the option of entering a second drawing for one of several $10 Amazon gift cards.

To be eligible for the study, you must
·be over the age of 18 AND
·either you or your partner must have undergone IVF in the past 5 years. This means that you or your partner have undergone the egg retrieval and embryo transfer procedures as well as a pregnancy test. It does not matter whether this cycle was successful or unsuccessful.
