socks mittens hats scarves for Occupy Wall Street people

I support occupy wallstreet with my heart and mind...but can't be there  because I have two kids under 3 and well, the very life they are protesting for, I guess.

So how to show support?

I figure, it's getting cold they are going to need warm socks and hats and mittens and so on as the months get colder.

How do I do this?

Does anyone want to do this with me? and we can become knitting machines?

How do I get it to them? Do I just drop the box in the mail with "Occupy Wall Street" Zuccutti Park, NYC?

Is there a group already doing this that I can just piggy back on?

I'd love to join! As mama to a toddler and pregnant with another I'm not comfortable being at a protest as violence against protesters grows, but this would be a fantastic way to support!

I would also contact your local (most have FB / Meet-up or their own site) some need nothing and are donating to others in the area (my local got too much food so it was given to a local food bank) - if you want to do local

your best way to really support is to post local FREE letters to the editor and to tell your neighbors and your friends and hope that each person you "enlighten" tells two more

there are other simple things that are being done- change your BIG bank and each time you get a credit card mailer---send it back to them! (stuffed a junk mail)

send your bills out with nice friendly remarks all over the envelopes!

do the "shop-local"

there really are lots of ways!

we are in PA and my local groups have been going to NYC and Philly- if you are not right near NYC - ask a group to take your things for you
