I had a hard time watching the video footage of police action at Occupy Oakland from the last day. I'm carrying my first baby (due in January) and I couldn't believe that I was seeing such tactics used on the population in question, engaged in a peaceful protest. This is not the kind of world I want for my child. Please be safe if you choose to look at images from this event - some are very violent in my opinion.

 

If you were similarly upset, please don't be silent. I thought I would provide the contact information for the Oakland Police Department - it is suggested that you send a copy there, and to other media.
