If you have ever watched Sex and the City, every time I think of the battery, I think of that scene in the show when Samantha was babysitting Miranda's son and the only thing that would soothe him was the vibrating chair, but it stopped vibrating and so when Miranda came home she found her son in the chair with Samantha's vibrator turned on next to him. 

I've also decided that I hate the Knicker Nappies doorknob diaper pail... who ever thought that an open diaper pail/bag was a good idea and after a few diapers get in there, it does NOT stay on the doorknob and the little snaps just pop it right off onto the floor, and then I have an open dirty diaper bag spilling onto the floor.

And also, why would you design a diaper pail to hang on a doorknob in the first place? I swear, the people who design diaper pails have no experience with babies at all...

Ha! Yes, I have watched every episode mutliple times I think. :) One of my favorite things from my "old" life was to watch it at night after the kids went to sleep while knitting. Ahhhh.

I have also wondered about the hanging diaper pails. I have a round plastic one with a pail liner in it and it's always worked pretty well. I have been intrigued by the weehuggers wet bags though not enough to spring for one.

I got the diaper genie with my first and HATE it...smells like poo and flowers and expensive.

I LOVE the wipes warmer. Because really, have you ever used a cold wipe on yourself? It royally sucks. Lol I do however very much dislike pants with feet in them. They never fit right. I also very much dislike jeans for babies and bibs.

true ^ i rarely use jeans on babies. they just don't look comfy.

The overall jeans! Those are the worst. Even with the snaps on the inside of the legs, they are impossible to get on and off!

I agree! Luke has been in baby gowns a lot of the time since he's been born and when we go out I'll put one of those footed suits on him or some woolies with a long sleeved t-shirt. We have a couple of matchy sets, overalls, etc and I just never reach for them.

Those are what I hate! lol  I had a diaper exploder with #1 and getting a poop filled gown over a squirming newborns head is not my idea of fun!  I didn't even pull them out with #2 and 3.  I had a ton of them too!

Ugh! Me too! I HATE gowns! I've not had the poop problem, but their feet get stuck in the gown. Like when they pull their legs up and straighten back out, their feet get stuck on the inside of the gown and makes them mad as it pulls the gown down on their shoulders and makes it tight etc.

I know not all gowns are created equal. :)  The only ones I like are the Circo ones from Target, which are pretty thin and very stretchy...I actually put them on bottom  up as the neck is so open/stretchy. My guy poops literally once a week (!) so I am not dealing with a lot of poopy diapers and certainly no blow outs. (As an aside, we've been over and over the poop issue with our ped and she isn't concerned as he's gaining well and not in any discomfort so I guess I'm okay with my not pooping baby.)

The feet do get stuck sometimes but I usually have his gown up above his knees so it's not a big issue. He's usually wrapped up in a big blanket so his legs and hands are toasty too. It's always cool in our house.

At ngihttime I love the fleece sleep sacks which some of you probably hate too! Ha. :)

the ones you put them inside and zip up and there arms go out the holes? i LOVE them. we just bought 2. our house is chilly but if she wakes up, she will throw her hands around and pull blankets up over her head. we put the sleep sack on her, zip a warm blanket inside and she's good to go! she's been sleeping better ever since. :)
