Penguin Air Purifier (Crane)...any insight? Other recs?

Hi!

I want to get an air purifier in the $100 or less range (gross smoking downstairs neighbors).  I have seen a very cute penguin shaped item made by Crane on Am.azon (they also make a shark).  Does anybody have one of these and do you like it?  Can you recommend another one in that price range?  I can't spend more than that, sadly, so please don't tempt me with $300 beauties.

Just subbing to this thread because we are also interested in quality air purifiers.  We have one in our bedroom and I'm concerned it's actually making us sick due to it constantly blowing dry air out of one side.  Dry, dry, dry.  Hmm.
