My Favorite Thing...

Thread Starter

Thought it might be fun to start a thread where we could share our current favorite thing (or all-time favorite!) about our new babies.

For me, as adorable as they always are, for some reason I am just over the moon with the silky hair.  I can pat Malcolm's head for hours just so I can enjoy how silky his head of hair is!  It's been the same for all my babies.  Just love love love the silky hair!

What's yours?

Great idea for a thread!

I think my favourite thing is the way he calms down so dramatically when I pick him up and talk to him. I love being able to do that for him.

That wonderful breastmilk breath smell. Mmmmmmm!

The "Boop Smile."  I'll do spider hands then move in close to his face, touch his nose with my pointer finger, and say "Boop!"  He loves it :)

Holy crap Amy Lynn is he like 3 months old. Lol. Adorable pic!

I hav so many things I am loving it is hard to pick one... The soft hair, the soft skin, the teeny hands and feet, the yummy smell, the way she passes out after she nurses, etc. She is a really loud breather and makes lots of noises in her sleep. I don't remember that with the others. At one point in my life that might hav been annoying or kept me up but it is perfect now. I hav been so worried during this entire pg and poking her constanty for reassurance, now I don't have to bcs I can hear her breathing a room away. Helps me to sleep too. Guess it is the little things

The fact that he won't settle for anyone but me. love.gif  I will share him later, but for now he is still more a part of me than his own little person.

Love this thread!

My favorite things about baby Gabriel:

Staring at each other while he nurses

Sleeping so cozy with him

Petting his soft hair and nuzzling him against my face and neck

Watching Alexander (ds1) talk to him and kiss him

Palesa also has amazing soft.and silky hair. More than once I have felt such a strong emotion of love for her that I have licked her head. Just like a cat, I actually lick my little girl.

I also love her expressions, like the way she raises her eyebrows when mouthing for a breast.

The sound of her sucking. I'm listening to her as we nurse now and it is music to my ears.

Aurora: Her little coos.  How soft her skin is.  Her little snort while she's nursing.  How warm she is when we snuggle.  How sweet she is with her daddy.  How she's a BAMF and rolled from tummy to back at 11 days old and is super strong for someone who is less than seven pounds.  She's pretty easy to sooth.  A cuddle or a breast will pretty much fix her woes within seconds.

The way his head feels/smells when i kiss him all over.

Loving the little horse-like snorts and grunts.  And the sweet little smiles and giggles in his sleep!  Newborns do the funniest things.  :)

Love this- might have to try it myself :)

This is a great thread.  Gets my mama hormones flowing just reading it.  I think my boob just started leaking!

My Ayla has a ton of soft silky hair and it's usually sticking up every which way, which I think is just adorable.

And she's a very vocal baby- lots of little moans, groans, and grunts.  She sounds like an old man sometimes- so cute!

I love when she's in that "quiet-alert" mode- just awake and content and looking around at everything.

The drunken expression and milk all over her face after nursing.  Love it.

Cashmere longies on a fluffy CD butt- so soft!

When Addy sleeps next to me she rolls onto her side and scooches over till we're nose to nose. That's the best sleep either of us get. love.gif
