I usually only get one contraction after I O, which is usually at the end.. Nipple stimulation will also give me temp contractions, but they're gone by the time we're done. I do know that some women contract for hours after dtd, each person is different though. Some people never have (or notice) contractions until they're in labor.

I wish I had thought of that one earlier. It's so nice to not have the belly weight interfering in any way.
I feel like the only person here who doesn't get contractions after sex. What gives? lol
Yup, I think this is quite normal really (from talking to my friends). I still manage to do it anyway, even if it doesn't feel as good. It's nice to have the bonding time with my DH and he really needs it. He's highly sensitive and has a really hard time if I don't balance his needs with the childrens needs. I never regret doing it in the end, even if I don't O. You're right, it is temporary in the span of things.
I'm glad to hear you say this, Abra. Last time I didn't get my cycle back until 14 months pp and had such a hard time motivating to have sex until then. It was tough on us because it was our first and nobody else I knew was having that experience (or would admit to it). I thought I would never want it again! This time at least we have that experience behind us and DH has a much better attitude about it. Even if it is a long time, it is still temporary in the course of a marriage.
