TMI: Who's still having sex? - Page 5

I usually don't talk about sex with anyone but DH, so this is kind of awkward for me! But I thought I'd share a tip for another position that might make 9-month-pregnant intercourse easier for some ladies. I found a new favorite: the side-lying/spooning position. I wish I had thought of that one earlier. It's so nice to not have the belly weight interfering in any way.

I feel like the only person here who doesn't get contractions after sex. What gives? lol

I'm glad to hear you say this, Abra. Last time I didn't get my cycle back until 14 months pp and had such a hard time motivating to have sex until then. It was tough on us because it was our first and nobody else I knew was having that experience (or would admit to it). I thought I would never want it again! This time at least we have that experience behind us and DH has a much better attitude about it. Even if it is a long time, it is still temporary in the course of a marriage.

I usually only get one contraction after I O, which is usually at the end..  Nipple stimulation will also give me temp contractions, but they're gone by the time we're done.  I do know that some women contract for hours after dtd, each person is different though.  Some people never have (or notice) contractions until they're in labor.

Yup, I think this is quite normal really (from talking to my friends).  I still manage to do it anyway, even if it doesn't feel as good.  It's nice to have the bonding time with my DH and he really needs it.  He's highly sensitive and has a really hard time if I don't balance his needs with the childrens needs.  I never regret doing it in the end, even if I don't O.  You're right, it is temporary in the span of things.

dtd last night and hoping it did some "magic". lol It felt crampy down there when we were finished, so I'm hoping for more dilation, but I'll wait a few days to check. thumb.gif Baby does feel lower today, though. I have to walk with more of a waddle to accomodate how his body is laying right now.

Just a word of advice, if you know your DH is a little freaked out by the changes happening to your vagina, and you have a hard time getting any because of that, do NOT mention any dilation, discharge or plug coming out of you. This only hinders him more. Figured out that's why I wasn't getting any. lol But somehow I got super lucky and got it 3 times in the same 2 days. haha

I just have to let you all know that sex has done wonders for my inner thigh pain (SPD from what I've read). I've been hobbling around for the last week or so, which coincides with us having like a 2 week dry spell, though we did do doggy style like a week ago but it was a wham bam thank ya mam kinda situation. But this morning, I was on top and I swear the position and movement just stretches everything out well. The pain is literally GONE after we're done and I feel really good now too. I really need to find more energy to keep this up in this last week or so of pregnancy. The inner thigh pain is crippling sometimes.
