Last time my SPD started at 16 weeks (never had it with my pregnancies before that), so I expected it to start early again this time. But geez, I'm only 8 weeks and my pelvis is popping already. Definitely not full-blown SPD, but I can see it's just around the corner and I'm DREADING IT.
Last time I tried everything that was suggested to me. I was careful about how I moved and how I sat. I wore a medical-grade SI belt whenever possible (which helped sometimes). I slept with a pillow between my legs and kept it there whenever I needed to move. I went to the chiropractor...and that didn't help me at ALL.
Any suggestions for anything else I can do? I dread that pain again...I literally CRIED every time I had to turn over in the night, or get out of bed, or just walk somedays. I could feel and HEAR my pubic bone and pelvis popping and grinding against each other when I'd move wrong. It was horrible. And like I said, it lasted over half my pregnancy...and at this rate, it'll be even longer this time.
But if the chiro- the most suggested thing I saw- didn't help me, will anything??? Relaxin seems to start gushing through me from the time that 2nd line shows up on the pg test, but loose achey joints are one thing...THIS is unmistakable
