weight gain in 3rd trimester?

I will be 35 wks with di-di twins on Wednesday and I have completely stopped gaining any weight during the past 6 weeks.  I made the 24lb by 24wk mark and then continued to gain up to 35 lbs (I was average weight to start off with).  My Ob doesn't seem too concerned and my ultrasounds have been good though I am due for another one this week but I know that the weight measurements can be off on these ultrasounds.  Anyone else with similar experience with their multiples?  I am trying to eat more but I am really not hungry at all, when I do eat I get full so fast, and the idea of even fixing the most basic meal is just exhausting.  It is just hard for me to imagine that these babies are gaining the weight they need if I'm not gaining anything.

Between worrying, having these babies be breech, and the horrible horrible itching I've developed, I am just so finished with this pregnancy.

Congratulations on getting this far! If your OB isn't concerned, don't worry too much.

By the end I was living on smoothies (yummy, and you can drink a bit in the middle of the night without getting up) and grilled cheese sandwiches. (again, small and full of calories). Think about whether there's something that still sounds good. And get people to bring you food if you can. (even "Hi! There's stuff in the kitchen, could you make me a sandwich?")

There were times in my pregnancy when I couldn't eat (was in the hospital for a bit), but it was always me who lost weight. The girls kept gaining.

Yes, I struggled to put on weight at the end, too.  My girls were 7.12 and 6.8 at 38 weeks.  I had gotten sick and actually lost weight for a week or two, too.  I think there was a thread about this not too very long ago and it seemed a common experience.  Maybe you can look for it?

I didn't gain weight after about 28 weeks.

Thanks for the replies - it seems to be pretty standard for the weight gain to slow down.  I'm just hoping for good baby weights now and trying not to stress to much.

in the end my babies kept gaining but i did not, i lost it from my arms and legs big time, it really showed right after i gave birth, i was down to pre-pregnacy weight on day 6 and down 15 more in 6 weeks. i really was undernourished. the only thing that saved me was that i DID have a bit to loose so now i am 25 pound under my pre-pregnacy weight but eating really well and really way more healthy.

in the end i lived on protein drinks and pent butter and greek yogurt, basically i went back to the foods from my first trimester. and i really upped the calcium and iron i was taking since the worry is that your bones are getting sapped to build theirs.

i would focus on eating wonderfully as as often as you can and not worry about the scale

Thanks for the reassurance.

Babies were each measuring over 5lbs on ultrasound on Thursday.

Eating was hard enough before the cholestasis diagnosis - now I feel like I should be watching my meat/cheese intake as well as my sugar intake.  Oh well, I only have a few more days regardless.
