Dingoes Trot with Turkeys in November - Page 20

Ooh, nice haul Lisa! Drool....

I did make it out for a really fast feeling 6 miles yesterday evening. I was wearing my MCM shirt (which is cotton, and a mock turtleneck, and kind of snug in the wrong way...but somehow it was ok for a run in the cool/cold temps. Who'da thunk?!) and felt sort of badass. 6 miles in just under 54 minutes...that's pretty fast for me.

Of course it was probably not the best idea, given that I"m doing a 5K race tomorrow morning. Ah, well. I guess we'll see. Now really, at the end of this 5K you get a mug with hot chocolate in it. So who the heck cares how fast I go?! Ha. (unless they also put on whipped cream if you make a certain time. lol.gif Extra whipped cream, i'd run faster for)

real~Nice! I didn't have time to get up there, but I didn't have much luck last time, anyway. Most of the stuff is S, and I am definitely a M. Besides, it's not like I didn't buy a crapload in the black Friday sale. bag.gif

I took DS downtown for the Parade of Lights last night. I'd never been and didn't really know what to expect, but it was great. It was really late, but given that it's supposed to be much colder tonight and the crowds are supposed to be bigger, I figured last night was a better choice. We got down there way too early, but I actually did a pretty good job of preparing, with adequate layers, blankets, and a big thermos of hot apple cider! DS loved it, and I even thought it was pretty cool. We might have to do it again next year!

As for today, I had grand intentions of getting up and going to the Y this morning, but my bed was too warm and cozy. bag.gif Instead, I think we're just going to have a lazy day at home. We do need to go to the grocery store at some point, but I'd like to wait for the snow to slow down a bit first. Then I think there will be some cookie baking and movie watching.

Tomorrow, I WILL exercise. I swear. I have to, I have the nanny coming to watch DS so I can...
