First trimester pants suggestions...?

I'm only seven weeks along, and I don't know if it's because I've been eating more freely or what, but my jeans are already tight.  I don't know that anyone can tell that I have a bump, since my stomach has never been flat and I tend not to wear revealing clothes, anyway, but I do need new pants.  To make it worse, dress season is decidedly over in Pennsylvania, and I am pretty much constantly freezing from October until May.  I am going to wear some leggings with a big shirt today, but they are not really warm enough.

Do you have any suggestions for a somewhat good-looking pant that will last me for more than a few weeks, and/or which I could possibly wear again after the birth?  My options seem to be elastic or drawstring;  I have a pair of light drawstring pants for summer, but it's much too cold to wear them now.

My pants started to get tight early on as well, and I just wore my most comfortable stretchy pants, and actually bought some maternity pants (second hand) around 9 weeks along, not the kind with the huge stretchy panel, but the kind with a wide stretchy 'under the bump' waistband.

These were super comfortable when I was bloated and I think I will want to wear them even after giving birth. Since then I have bought a few more jeans/pants with this sort of style and they are still comfy now at 14-15 weeks, when I am no longer horribly bloated but have a little bump starting to pop out. I got all my stuff at second hand/consignment stores but coincidentally most of them are Old Navy maternity brand. I tried to get more at an Old Navy store but they said I needed to check online.... I did find at the store some great simple stretchy skirts (non-maternity, but very comfy) which I have been wearing with and without leggings.

Hope you find some comfy pants that work for you!

I just got some lower waisted pants than I normally wear, slightly roomy, and wore them with longer shirts. I got cords and stretchy colorful denim capris on sale  for about $10 at urban outfitters. (I don't normally shop there but my sister had told me that I should check out their pants on sale...)

They actually fit until I was around 6m, and I am only 5d PP right now, but am planning on using them for the first month or two as well.

Actually I think the "jeggings" trend kind of works for maternity... not something particularly appealing to me normally, but they are really stretchy, but thicker than regular leggings.

Wrap pants!  I love my wrap pants, and they can look really trendy.

This link is for capri's, but you can wear them long, too.

Oh, and I also found during my last pregnancy that it worked well to tie one ribbon from the front to one ribbon of the back on either side.  Gave pretty details to the sides AND kept the knot out of my belly.  (Which, honestly, isn't a big deal.)

Thanks, guys!  I am going shopping for some stretchy pants tomorrow.  It's funny how I am protecting what is basically my own stomach flab as if it were all or mostly my baby.  I'm sure a lot if it is just the eating, but the real baby bump will be along soon enough!

That's a good point about the jeggings.  I did, just this morning, have the thought, "Do I finally have an excuse for pajama jeans?"

Just1More, thanks for introducing me to an entirely new style of flexible-waist pants.  I hadn't thought of anything other than elastic or drawstring, and now I see that there is another option.  I'll take a look at that Etsy shop and see if the stuff is in my price range.

I just loop an elastic in the button whole and around the button and wear a bellyband/haramaki or a long Shirt over it. I am not really willing to already buy/unpack my maternity clothes.

Old Navy roll-top yoga pants (Aaaahhhhh! Bliss!  Great for postpartum too).

Motherhood Maternity Super-Stretch Secret Fit panel jeans.  Roll the top down low for now, and use all the way up when you're bigger.  I also wore these for a month postpartum.

I love Old Navy's roll top maternity pants, as well. They fit in the first trimester, then under the belly, and work great for post partum time as well.

That is what I do.

I was using a rubber band on my regular pants -- until today. I went down to the basement and pulled up my "larger clothes" box. Regular clothing, but a size larger, lol, that I purchased after DS was born (and I hadn't lost my pregnancy weight). SOOO much more comfortable than rubber bands!

I also endorse - low-waisted pants, elastic pants, and leggings with elastic waist skirts.

I'm 16 weeks, BTW.
