Anybody else's boobs getting really sore? I feel like I'm crawling out of my skin right now. I'm so crampy and now my boobs are starting to hurt. Ow ow ow!

My mom had so many babies (mostly unplanned) and she's over baby holding.  Ha ha.  She'll cook and clean for you instead.  She'll probably think your kitchen is totally unpractical though and buy you new tuperware and move your silverware drawer..  lol.gif

My mom *says* she will come stay and help out. I love my mom a lot... she is great. But, she is not exactly helpful. I really think she means to be, but she just doesn't know how. She does not cook or clean or do laundry... or put her own gas in the car, charge her cell phone.... I'm not really sure what she does around the house. When I had dd1, she came over about an hour after I got home from the hospital. She asked for the baby, and then asked me to bring her a footstool and a glass of water. Seriously. But she is really sweet and supportive... I really can't complain! It's just that I'm not sure she will actually be any help. Plus, she teaches elementary school and is always sick. So I'm thinking there is a good chance she will have some bug when the baby is born.

I'm sure everything will work out! I'm optimistic. Just semi-venting. :)

My boobs aren't HURTING, but there's a really dull ache and I know they are attempting to outgrow my DD cup bra I found a new stretch mark on one of them the other day. *grumble* Plus, my nipples have been tingly too. Gearin up to feed a 7+ lbs baby. I'm wondering how big he'll be. He feels smaller than the other two and they were just over 8 lbs.

Some how my chiro has managed to pretty much prevent my spd with this pregnancy.  It was actually worse at 16w before I started going on a regular basis.  I'm so thankful that it's helping.  I know that it doesn't help everyone though, which sucks.  It's painful!

So I keep getting a bunch of annoying sensations that I cannot decipher and it's bugging me.  At first it feels exactly like a pressure contraction and I pause to relax, but when I touch my belly, it's not any tighter than usual, so I figure oh, not a contraction and go about walking, but then I get a bunch of heavy pressure on the cervix and hip bones, so I have to stop again and wait for a bit.  I'm not sure what's going on.  Usually contractions are so obvious so I'm really unsure what's going on.  Anyone else having contraction sensations that they think aren't actually contractions?

Are they lower, more towards the cervix? They could just be practice, trying to open your cervix more. Either way, your body isn't trying to trick you. It's gearing up for the big day.

Yup, I get feels like that too.  I think it's a baby head rotating around in my pelvis, but who knows..

Hold cow you girls are chatty today!  I took  a tiny nap, came back, and there were 36 new posts!

Jaimee-  I have the same sensation sometimes.  I try to just relax my pelvis and "open up".  Whatever the pressure is, it feels productive to me.  Are you feeling like its productive?

I cannot put the Halloween candy down.  For the first time in months I KNOW Im going to have gained weight at my next appt.  But probably like, 10 pounds...of Twix...on my butt and arms...

I have zero pain or crampiness in my pelvis, other than the SPD of course.  And my BH ctx are highly annoying and pretty uncomfortable.  But I'm starting to get a litttttllllleeee bit jealous of all the labor signs here...  Only a teeny bit jealous though.  I want him to stay in at least 9 more days :-)  (come on 11/11/11 :-))   My friend is a FTM and due the same day as me (so fun!) and her baby is engaged and ready to go.  It will be sort of weird for her to have her baby before me, but mine seems to be pretty cozy....

Oh no! And you know my dishes and silverware don't match at all... I'm sure she'd disapprove!

I'm trying to avoid going to the grocery store. I am so not up to it right now, but it has to be done. Sigh.

Oh, she won't care too much if it matches, just if it's in an unpractical location..  Every time she comes to visit something in my kitchen moves to a new drawer or cabinet.

If it were my mother, that would annoy the crap out of me.  But I would *love* it if someone were to come into my house and find more practical places for things!

Yah, I do try to relax through whatever it is just in case it is productive, but I sort of feel like if the uterus is not really hard for any length of time that it's not doing anything and is probably just baby pushing and creating odd sensations.  That's what's bugging me.  I would love to just know that it is productive and not annoying baby movements, you know?  It's not that I want to be in labor right now or anything, I'm not even full term, but I wouldn't mind dilating steadily until 38-39 weeks and having an easy labor.  winky.gif

AGH!  My cousin was due this Friday and she just had her baby two hours ago.  I am so jealous!   It's MY due date!  Okay, I'm not too jealous because she just had her first vaginal birth after two c-sections.

I'd share my mom and MIL, but I actually like them this time.  I told my MIL she could come cook some freezer meals but only if she didn't whine about my kitchen.  Both of them love to whine about my kitchen.  So she bought me a stock pot and did all the dishes by hand because she doesn't like my dishwasher. LOL.

Happy November all!

Survived Trick-or-Treat last nite, and was up all night again with crampy contractions.  Still having them, still having bloody show.  Trying not to be annoyed about it, heh.  I feel like something mental/emotional must be blocking me, cause at this point, I really doubt it's physical, but I can't think of what it could be.  Bleah.

Pulled out some fiction books in an attempt to ignore the world, lol--but that really doesn't work with four kids in the house who need you!

I'm not sure if I feel like going for an epic walk and super-cleaning the house, or just going to sleep until I'm woken up by an urge to push--LOL.

I have no mom or MIL, or FIL either, heh.  I'd be utterly flabbergasted if my dad did anything to help us out after the birth, except maybe he'd bring us heat-and-eat pizzas from Walmart!

OMG I am SO lucky that Halloween candy isn't vegan... in fact unless it's got organic sugar in it, it's not vegan, so I stay away from it 100%, or else I'd be a complete wreck come Halloween.  I'm one of those people who has to stay away from sugar altogether or else I binge like an addict (the fact that it's not vegan is really just an added convenience/incentive for me to stay away).  I was notorious in college amongst my friends for making a crinkly sound whenever I walked because my pockets were always full of candy wrappers.  I am so not kidding here!  It's BAD.  Sugar addiction runs in my family too, that $hit is powerful stuff!

OMG so many new babies!  WHERE ARE OUR BABIES?  I'm so happy for our DDC ladies with new babes, and for your cousin, too.

My mom and my MIL are driving up here together (they both live in the Bay Area) basically as soon as I go into labor.  They are amazing.  Totally different and totally amazing.  My mom cooks amazing vegan dishes (she's an omnivore but always does this for me) and my MIL is going to take over all grandmother duties.  She called and asked if I wanted her there after the birth and I was like "Honestly... I need you to come take care of your mom.  I won't be able to do it."  She was SO awesome and understanding about it.

Thank you all so much for your support yesterday.  I needed it and I also really needed to be told to calm down.  I am a professional awfulizer and can let my thoughts spiral downwards into the catastrophic really easily.  When I posted yesterday I'd JUST returned from that appointment so all those feelings were pretty raw.  I needed some sense talked into me, thanks.  I have scheduled a date with DH for tonight and a massage + acupuncture for Friday.  I can't wait!

Congrats to the new (and impending!) babies! How exciting!

I'm getting a little nervous because DH and DS are leaving for CA for 5 days tomorrow, and even though I'm just shy of 36 weeks, I KNOW I'm going to have a hard time keeping this baby in much longer. I really, really don't want to go into labor when they're not here. I have become a bump on the couch, because whenever I exert myself in the tiniest way I start getting really crampy contractions (different than my regular BH contractions). On top of that, I just feel MORE pregnant than I did either of the last times at this point. The baby is constantly stretching and maneuvering around like she wants out. I'm bigger and heavier. I can tell she's already pretty big. I have nasty pain in my groin and hip, which I've never had before.

My gall bladder is also killing me. It really sucks. I feel like all I do is sit around with my right arm flung up over my head.

I've got a midwife appointment tomorrow and I'm picking up my birth pool. If baby will stay in until next Tuesday, I'll be happy. I have absolutely no reservations about birthing at home at 36+4, because I can tell she wants to come out soon, and I'm sure she will do just fine when she does. In the mean time, I plan to take it easy and I have a bottle of wine and a warm bath as backup. I hope that will be enough to convince her to stay put.

Tinker Bell and the Lion.  It was difficult to get these two to stand still long enough for a picture!

The right-most four are mine =)  I couldn't believe my youngest stood still long enough for the face paint!

Just wanted to update everyone and let you all know how my baby Rhyko is doing!

So, he was born September 19th and was 5 lbs even and 18.5 inches long. He spent 25 days in the NICU and has been home now for two and a half weeks!

He's now 6 weeks old and 7 lbs 9 oz! My original due date was Nov, 5th - and I imagine babies grow better in the womb, so he would have been a big boy!
