Wohoo!  More babies are coming. : )

I packed up all my birth supplies today and my mom put them up in the garage attic for me.  It was kind of sad, but on the bright side, I won't have to buy anything for our next birth. lol.gif

Something is seriously wrong with my BP :(  Ive been up since about 1:30am, because my body was startling me awake- my pulse would be racing, and I was dizzy and out of breath.  When I would get up I would get tunnel vision.

Totally freaked me out to the point that I never went back to sleep.  It happened 3 times.  If i didn't already have an appt today I would go to the hospital...

Thinking of you, Ash.

It's quiet today..  Our numbers are dwindling..

I think we got the mice problem fixed.  My DH went under the house last night and boarded up all the wholes under the kitchen sink.  I didn't find any more mouse poops this morning, so that's a good sign!  On the bright side, I totally washed and organized everything under my sink and in my kitchen drawers.  My tupperware has never looked so good!

I'm going to take my DD to the Children's Museum today.  The weather is awful and I'm still pregnant in a very uneventful sort of way.

Jaime - Can you change my due date to 11/15 - three ultrasounds (starting at 7 weeks) told me I was due 3-4 days sooner than my LMP which I was unsure of anyway. I certainly feel like I'm a week past my due date. Thanks!

Ashley and Becky - thinking of you two today!!

Where is everyone????  Sick?  Tired?  Havin' babies?

My MIL arrived last night, so I'm on a bit less than usual, but still here...  I made an appointment for the 26th to get a sweep if I don't have this baby by then b/c I want to do everything I can to have this baby while my family support is in town.

Ash, I hope everything checks out fine. Please keep us as updated as possible. hug2.gif

I got home a few hours ago with Levi and have been trying to update, but for some reason, MDC was acting funny on my computer. Levi showed a small brain bleed on his ultrasound yesterday. It was small enough to not cause TOO much concern for Levi's pediatrician. He suspects the bleed was trauma from a fast birth and doesn't attribute it to him being born at home at all. I'm so glad I got proper support of the real issue and not judged for my decision to have him at home, especially unassisted. My OB saw me yesterday too, just to check on me and asked for simple details and didn't seem displeased at what he heard so that was a relief too. lol Anyway, we're settled and my milk has come in and Levi nurses so well. I developed a fever 1.5 hours after getting home and my body aches, so I have to go BACK to the hospital and get an ultrasound done. Blah! I just spent 3 days in a place I was trying to avoid. lol I just hope they'll give me antibiotics and send me on my way if they don't see any retained placenta or anything in the ultrasound.

omg!! You just cannot catch a break can you?! Big hugs, and positive thoughts that Levi and you are both healthy.

I am officially sick with whatever Kieran has, I woke up with a goopy red eye. And he woke up complaining of an earache. Now I'm wondering whether to take him in, just to see if we can kick this quicker. But I don't want to take abx while pg, soooooo . . . I'm torn. Normally I'd just let it run its course. What a pain.

Abra - I'm glad your mice friends are gone. I've had to deal with mice before, and I am relentless - I do NOT mess around with rodents. (Ok, at first I tried to be humane and quickly realized that being humane just makes the little creatures invite their friends over.)

what the heck is it with preggo's being sick? EVERYONE that I know in the last trimester of pregnancy is sick. I hope everyone gets better. Gotta go to the ultrasound in about an hour. Gonna try to rest before then.

I'm tired!  We took the baby out for the first time since bringing her home and it tired both of us out.  But she did really well in the car and I was able to dress her warm enough even though our car heater doesn't work.  I am glad, because we are planning to visit my aunt and uncle for thanksgiving and they live about an hour and a half away, so I think that drive won't be too bad.

We are getting a thrush now, which is a pain to deal with.  Hopefully I can get it cleared up before it gets too bad.

I hope everyone gets better, being pregnant and  sick is not cool.

Oh Becky!!  I'm so sorry you cannot catch a break!  I'm glad to hear that Levi's bleed is not of too much concern, but what do the doctors say needs to be done if anything or what the consequences could be?

I hope that nothing is wrong with you and you can get quick treatment as well.  I'm sorry that things are not just going smoothly so you can be snuggly at home.  hug2.gif

Well, you saw how things went down with me!  I caved after "waiting it out" for 3 weeks.  Ordinarily I would say dose up on supplements, use breastmilk in the eye/ear, etc.  But honestly, I would just get this taken care of!  You do not want to be sick while laboring or directly after and you want the antibiotics to be as close to out of your system as possible before the baby comes.

BALLS!  I just wrote out a whole post then freaking deleted it.

My docs appt was...an appt.  I will be getting a call later to let me know the plan as to how much longer they feel comfortable letting me be pregnant.  She said she was hoping to make it after the holiday but had to talk to some other providers.  At this point I'm fine with it, my body is really reacting strangely to the end of this pregnancy and I'm unsure how my BP will do during labor when I cannot even switch positions at home under normal circumstances without getting tunnel vision and dizziness.  Its 3:00 here, and I really wish they would hurry up and get back to me- the waiting combined with the lack of sleep is making me a crazy person.

My cervix is completely unchanged, and my Bishop Score was only a 6.  That is really frustrating.  I read up on C-section stats with a Bishop of 6 and it was 3.2% for subsequent pregnancies, and 10% for first timers.

Becky Im so glad to hear Levi is home, I hope your ultrasound goes well and you don't have to hang out in hospitals anymore.

Abra- we have dealt with mice a few times.  They can get in through the tiniest little holes.

Hey everyone! I've been lurking over the last few weeks, but haven't wanted to post, for some reason. I figure now that it's so much quieter on this thread I'll chime in.

DS: Born at 38 weeks, 4 days

Surrobabe: Born at 37 weeks

This baby: 38 weeks, 4 days and counting...

This is officially the longest I've ever had a baby in me. After contractions and lots of other early labor signs at 35-37 weeks, midwives, family, and I are all kind of amazed she's still in there. But things have calmed down over the last week and I'm wondering if she's in it for the long haul. I'm also 30 lbs heavier than I was when DS was born (holy cow!) but I don't feel that much fatter (maybe 10 lbs) and I don't feel like I'm retaining too much water or anything, so I think this baby is going to be big.

Yesterday I suddenly realized that I have a bunch of stuff to do for DS's 6th birthday/Thanksgiving (both on the same day). We promised DS a playable Angry Birds cake, and a friend of mine is now coming for Thanksgiving dinner, so I need to make at least a bit of an effort. I figured I'd have had the baby by now and my mom would be here to take charge of everything. We did a big grocery shopping trip this morning. DH is going to help me make the birthday cake, pies, and cranberry sauce tomorrow. We've already got a lentil loaf in the freezer, thank goodness. And it shouldn't be too hard to whip up the rest of the stuff. I really wish my mom could be here on Thursday, but she can only stay a week, so I don't want to risk her having to go home before the baby's born.

I'm feeling a lot mellower about being pregnant than I was a few weeks ago, when my gall bladder pain and heartburn were unbearable and I had such horrible pain in my groin and hip that I didn't want to move. My groin/hip is much better, my heartburn has subsided substantially, and my gall bladder still hurts, but it's a lot easier to deal with now that the other stuff is better. I feel like a house, which I never felt the other 2 times, but I'm happy to let this baby come out when she's good and ready.

I'm really loving all these birth announcements and stories and pictures of babies. It's making me so excited! :)

Isn't it so crazy how the disappearance of heartburn can make you feel SO much better about staying pregnant!?!?  My heartburn disappeared when he flipped from breech to vertex (39 weeks) and I feel so great.

I hope you're not prego too much longer, but who knows!  Third babies are wild cards, for sure :-)

Hi all!

Becky, UGH!  I'm glad everyone's treating you guys decently at the hospital, but what a bummer that you keep ending up back there!

Ashley--thinking of you.  Hope things resolve soon and/or you have a wonderful birth in spite of the blood pressure weirdness...

I've been busy trying to sort out fun things like getting my sterilization taken care of before my insurance runs out, and trying to find out about all the stuff "they" want so we can file a birth certificate.  Fun.

After about 10 phonecalls over two days, I think the sterilization will go off without a hitch--scheduled for mid-December.  The birth certificate, hehe..they were asking about things like EMS records--as if nobody delivers at home without emergency medical ppl there.  I need a letter "proving" my pregnancy eyesroll.gif and that should also be taken care of.  I'm annoyed I have to drive out there again tho...ugh.

We went out as a "trial" yesterday, just to meet some friends, and were glad to find that Ollie's a carseat baby.  He started out crying, but before we were down the driveway he'd settled.  I've had a NOT-carseat baby before, and am glad to avoid that.  orngtongue.gif

My placenta pills are amazing.  I'm 5 days pp and already barely bleeding.  I don't think I've ever bled for less than 2wks+ before, and I know I've bled more than 7 wks once (retained placenta piece due to stupid doc/cord traction).

My two yr old's still not nursing, and my heart is aching.  Every time I think about it I start to tear up.  He surely seems more at peace with his decision than I am!  I know it's my own issue and I'm doing as best I can to be there for him--but it still hurts like hell.

Great, now I'm crying again.

Oh yeah, and my DH and my oldest dd are both sick--fever, stomach bug, etc.  Suuuuch great timing.  It's hard for me to remember to eat and drink enough, let alone stay healthy right now!

Sending goodvibes to all those who are trying to stay well!
