Has anybody built their own wind turbines?

There are so many plans out there compared to several years ago. I have been trying to get hubby to starting building one at least for the shop or barn to start. I was wondering if anybody has done this and if so, what plans do they like? Links would be lovely.

lurk.gif  We just moved to a rural home and got a subscription to Mother Earth News, we're hoping to build a turbine for our well pump next year, but we haven't looked at plans yet.  I have an OOOOOld Reader's Digest book that seems to make things quite simple, It's called Back To Basics and it is a guide to starting from scratch, building a home etc, solar, wells, butchering, tanning, canning, spinning wool, all of it.  It includes windmills but I'm not sure if there is a difference between a mill and a turbine.
