fuschia nipples?

I'm just going to go right ahead and assume that my nipples are not supposed to be fuschia. They are also starting to be a little sore and some of the skin surrounding them looks thin and... weird. I'm thinking it might be thrush? Or maybe somehow a pumping-related injury? Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thrush usually involves a sharp, shooting pain up into the breast, so it might not be that. Thrush is also supposed to make the nipple look really shiny. It could be a pumping injury- does your nipple rub against the side of the pump flange at all? You might try getting a flange made for a larger nipple- they all come with the standard size, but a lot of people need a different size.
