Just curious, what was your baby's heartrate at 12 weeks (or as close to that as possible).  I'm doing an unofficial science experiment on that old wives tale. :)

Mine was 166 today.  Which, apparently, indicates girl.

I think mine was like 170... but I could be misremembering. Which is sort of sad because we were just at the doctor yesterday. I have a memory like a steel trap... that's rusted through.

Chinese Calendar was right with all 3 of my last children...Hmm, this one says boy which I think is what we are having...Anyways, as soon as I do heartrate next week I will post back!

At 6 weeks, heart rate was 126 and at 11 weeks 3 days (baby was mesuring 12 weeks 2 days) it was 156. So...maybe a girl for me too? :-)

Yeah, I know it was disproved, but I'd still like to do my own "study". :)

At 10 weeks it was in the 170s and on Wednesday at 14 weeks it was in the 160s.  :-)

At 12 weeks it was 163, which is the highest of any of my kiddos. My ds and dd were identical to each other the whole pregnancy and were in the lower to mid 150s at 12 weeks and then stayed around 140 the rest of the pregnancy.

Chinese calendar was 75% right for me.  This time is says girl.  But, it also says that any woman with a chinese age of 30, becoming pregnant between Feb and Oct will have a girl.  Really?  That's strange.

Both of mine were in the 150-155 range. I have a girl and a boy. This one was 152 at our last appointment, so who knows?

Mine was in the 150s.

Mine was 170 but that was around 9-10 weeks.

169 at 8 weeks (ultrasound) and I forgot to ask what the rate was at 12 weeks! but it sure was fast. My DS always was fast throughout my first pregnancy though - never below 140, even in labor! - so I don't really know what it means. Want to be careful not to get too excited that it could possibly be a girl ... Of course I love my DS and would love another boy!! but one of each would be so nice

146 @ 12wks, 2 days.  And he was wriggly!  And yes, I am predicting a boy.
