Ravenous!

Is anyone else starving all the time! My midwife wants me to be really careful about what I eat these last few weeks to avoid any potential issues but I'm just so hungry and when I'm really hungry I make really bad choices. Help! Any thoughts? I just can't keep up with my stomach!

I'm hungry non-stop now and it's not doing my minimal weight gain any justice. I gained 3 lbs this week, putting me at 32 lbs gained. lol You don't have much longer, so you shouldn't gain very much in the last couple weeks anyway......*shrugs*

OMG YES.  Yes, yes, yes!  I am STARVING.  Ever since baby dropped and I can fit food in my stomach and no longer get heartburn, I am a bottomless pit.  I drink my giant protein smoothies with like 4 tablespoons of peanut butter, which used to keep me full for hours and hours, and I'm starving again like 30 minutes later.  I eat CONSTANTLY.  I gained 3 pounds between my appointment on Monday and my appointment on Thursday.  You read that right.  A pound a friggin' day!  After like 4 weeks of zero weight gain.  Granted the scale was probably a little off, but I'm certain I've gained some, cause I eat so much more than I ever have in my entire life.  It's... it's out of control.

Katie, that peanut butter is such a slippery slope, I swear. lol.gif I used to be so filled up with just 2 tbsp of it and now I just started eating it by the spoonful straight out of the jar! Just a tad embarrassing. But why isn't it filling me up?! Weird. I've also been eating spaghetti w/ meat sauce for every meal since lunch yesterday. redface.gif I'm getting on these food kicks that I can't shake until I've exhausted my taste buds. LOL

So long story short, I'm in the "ravenous" boat as well. Bottomless pit all the way.

YES!! I don't know what's the matter with me - plus, I'm always craving crap. eyesroll.gif Yesterday Kieran and I made this pumpkin bread with a cream cheese layer in the middle and I ate four HUGE pieces in a row. Four. In. A. Row.
Somebody stop me!!!
And yes - the weight gain, which had been so beautifully under control, is now gaining momentum. Meh.

All I want is Halloween candy. Why, oh why have both my EDDs been around candy-pushing holidays? (DD was born just before Easter) I have a serious sugar-addiction, that I just can't control at the end of pregnancy. Sigh.

Glad I'm not alone! Yeah, I know weight gain is supposed to level out now and I really had done a pretty good job with my weight gain but things aren't looking good and I could have as much as 3-4 weeks if this baby chooses! That's like another 12 lbs! The last week or two have been brutal! I had hubby hide the Halloween candy but I eat everything in sight and I'm grabbing handfuls of things and seconds everywhere I go! This is bad, bad, bad. I really needed to not gain much... this is the heaviest I've ever been! Ugh...

I'm sitting here, eating scrambled eggs, jojo potatoes and chicken strips. *sigh*

I'm the same way!  I don't know what happened, but these last few weeks have been crazy!  I eat everything in sight!  I also gained 3 lbs last week, which puts me up to 40 for this pregnancy!

So glad to hear everyone else is going through this!  I feel like I've gained so healthily this pregnancy, and now I'm ravenous all the time, and for a lot of junk food, like many of you said!  I used to be fine with proteins and maybe a little fruit through lunch, but today after eating eggs, 2 bowls of oatmeal, some pineapple, and a pulled pork sandwich, I grabbed a handful of whoppers (those chocolate malt ball things) from the halloween basket and sat down at the table popping them.  My poor husband looked kind of incredulous and I just shrugged.  Oh goodness.  I can feel the fat accumulating on my butt!

Since it's happening to all of us, maybe it's the body's way of storing up a little extra before the babe comes so that there's more to pull from for breastfeeding?

My body really doesn't need to store up a little extra! LOL And I feel like I'm wearing a kit-kat beard... I have a new chin this week. So gross! I'm just trying to stay away from the bad stuff since I can't control the eating but the bad stuff comes to me! Someone drops something off or I go to a party or my mother-in-law decided to take us to the soup and salad (code: muffin/bread) buffet... AHHH!!!

I have eaten so much candy and chocolate the past two weeks it's ridiculous!  I also gained three pounds in the past week.  We just went out for dinner and I ate a giant serving of pasta and sausage and polished off my DD's ice cream.  It's not pretty.

I think we need to start a thanksgiving recipe thread because I CAN"T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!  SO hungry!

I've eaten 5 big bowls of cereal today. I couldn't help myself. And none of it's "good for you" cereal. Kix for breakfast, then a daiya cheese omelette and toast for lunch, then rice chex, and the "natural" versions of honey nut cheerios, frosted mini wheats, and lucky charms (what a joke). We stocked up at the store today (the super sugary Mom's Best brand "natural" cereals were $1.50 a box) and I had to sample every box we got. Oh, and I had an apple. That's the only produce I've eaten all day.

Now I'm trying to figure out what I can eat as a late evening snack that's healthy, but that I don't have to actually make. I'm trying to justify my eating habits today by recalling all the brown rice and kale I ate yesterday, but I still feel guilty.

Oh man, my husband would be all over that Mom's Best brand cereal.  He bought a bunch of it one time when it was on sale and I was like, REALLY?!  Just because it's natural doesn't mean our DS needs to eat it for breakfast!  Yeesh.

But you're pregnant.  So you eat whateverthehell you want!  I want cereal now.  mmmmmm......

My hunger dropped off about 1.5-2 weeks ago. I also lost a few pounds and then have stayed the same since then. No longer ravenous. Bummer. Perhaps that is normal at the very end... I can't remember!
