PDD-NOS

I have a 9 year old with PDD-NOS. She is on a doctor's-prescribed Strattera treatment for one week now, but I've been noticing a new problem: she's becoming mor agitated and abusive of her younger brother - mostly verbally' but sometimes even beating him. I wanna be certain before I ask the doctor, if this is a common thing or no??

From what I'm reading aggression happened enough to show up in clinical trials (though "not statistically significant") and seems to be a frequently reported side affect by users/parents.

We didn't personally experience this problem with Strattera, although we did have problems with tearfulness, moodiness and vomiting (and apparently the vomiting issue is very rare with this drug).  Emmeline (as usual) has great links in her post and I'm sure you can Google for specific stats.  I think if you see any change in behavior, you should ask the doctor regardless of if this is common.  People have widely ranging body chemistry, and it's your own child's at play.  Also, the doctor may know if this is a side effect that tends to dissipate over time or not.  For example, for our son, the tearfulness/moodiness settled in about a week.  Unfortunately for us, the nausea settled somewhat but not completely.  Not all side effects are a permanent phenomena.
