We have CHICKEN POX!

This is pretty surreal because we don't know anyone under the age of at least 10 who has had chicken pox since I was a child, but my two kids have somehow contracted Chicken Pox!

Just kind of wanted to share the news with people who wouldn't view us like pariah's!

Did you see the recent news story about people mailing chicken pox lollipops? Apparently, it's illegal just like sending Anthrax through the mail.

I'm all for a chicken pox party. I wish I could find someone with chicken pox to infect my kids. I tried it once when my now 7yo was 3 and I was pregnant with my now 4yo but I don't know if it worked. He never got the pox but did come down with a cold-type virus exactly 4 days after being exposed. However, I would not accept anything like that through the mail. That's taking a big risk since you can't really know what's on the lollipop, or whatever else might be sent, especially if the person who is sending it is a virtual stranger. I'd be afraid of some nutcase taking advantage of people who do that and sending something really nasty to kids.

My kid's best friend *might* have CP.  He's had a fever and tiredness, and today some spots - possible blister on one.... just waiting to see if that's what it is!

If only we could make a PoxTracker.  So the previous poster in Montreal has them, then someone else gets them from that family, but they live in an area not exactly in Montreal. Then another family and another and another, and we could watch it as it travels around the countries. :)  A little bit more natural than a lollipop, LOL.

So far we are still pox-free, but I've heard it takes an average of 2 wks, which will be Monday for us....
