July 2012 check-ins! - Page 3

I'm so glad I finally found our group!

1. July 7th

2. This will be our second we have a very active toddler girl who will be 3 on July 22 (my husband and I also have July birthdays)

3. We are planning/hoping for a midwife assisted Hospital Birth Center VBAC. I had a planned home-birth with my first, but after 27.5hours of labor and 6 hours of active pushing my DD never decended past -1 station (and yes, I was 10c dialated and 100% effaced). I was lucky that I was up and about for my entire labor...using every birth tool available to get her to move past my pelvic bone, she was in the posterior position and my big 9.5lb girl got stuck. So, we ended up with a C-section and a wonderful OB who promised my second would be a vaginal delivery. So, I'm going to do everthing in my power to get that vaginal delivery this time!

4. I am a power-yoga instructor (I teach a fast-pased vinyasa class in a 90degree studio)...and I'm sad to say that I am sooooo nauseaous all day long that I only make it about 15mins when I'm practicing myself. It looks Iike I'll be teaching, but not practicing much until this morning sickness settles down!

I am already showing too and that is breaking my heart...I have a serious pooch...maybe it's twins? My first midwife visit isn't until Dec. 6th when I'll already by 9w 3d. All day nausea and my breasts are soooo sore and also, already one size bigger.  I am constantly exhausted, in fact I don't remember being this tired with my first.  We haven't told anyone yet, I had a miscarriage last month, so I'm a bit paranoid.  We plan on telling our family at Christmas and the extended family/friends via our Holiday Cards...just ordered a custom "Big Sis" shirt from Etsy for my daugther for her picture w/Santa!

Hello!!!

Mothering wouldn't let me use my old member info, so I created a new profile because I couldn't wait to check in the group!

EDD: July 22nd! My cycles are only 26 days, and I'm NEVER LATE, so I did a test the first day and it was positive!!!

This is baby #5 for us! We have two boys and two girls, ages almost 11, 9, six, almost five.

Plans: my last two were amazing homebirths, and this one will be too! I'm considering a new midwife, whose actually my friend's sister, and she's a latina like me :-)

I'll also have a doula, and this time I chose an older lady from my church congregation whom I really admire.

Something about me: I'm from Argentina, husband is Puerto Rican and I write stories for older kids and young adults.

So many stories!  I hope it's okay to jump right in... I'm pretty stoked!  =)

3. This will be my first natural birth (although all of them were successful vaginal hospital births with zero complications)... Interviewing MW's now...  Found a pretty amazing prospect - she's also a naturopath!  WOOT!

4. We are a God lovin', Granola crunchin' Grassfed/freerange eatin', raw milk drinking, at home schoolin' family...  We have been so blessed in the past year or so by the wisdom that we've acquired... I am excited to learn about CDing and wearing my newest addition.  I really wish I could have known with all of them what we know now - but YAY - better late than never at all, right?  ;)

I feel so at home here.  Really, I found this site when researching drinking raw milk and kombucha during pregnancy!  I joined that night...  Such an abundance of knowledge here!  Thanks, mamas!

Pleased to meet you all.

My turn:

1. July 19th, but we are telling everyone late july.

2. This will be baby #4. We have three girls, 12/9/05, 12/8/07, 4/1/10.

3. Homebirth. We had daughter #1 at a local freestanding birthcenter, and then the other two at home.

4. I am still really active with my DDC from 4/2010, over on facebook. Love those girls.

3. Hospital Birth but staying home as long as possible

Due Date:  July 24, 2012

Baby #3 - Already have two girls - 4 and 2

Birth Plans: well, still up in the air - would like to do a homebirth if I get the guts to try again.

What you wouldn't know about me is that I was a transport from the first attempted homebirth due to lack of progression after 3 days in labor.  Had the traditional hospital birth the second time, now my hospital midwife moved, so thinking of trying the homebirth again at least waiting till I go to the hospital a lot longer.

Hi ladies!!! :)

1. July 7th!  This of course is EDD from the first day of my last period...typically I ovulate later...so I'm guessing July 14th is more accurate :)

2.  Blessing # 3, with two brothers anxiously awaiting.. Christopher (4) and Evan (21 months)

3.  The assumed birth plan is a scheduled c-section....my first was natural with 4th degree tears....a part of me would like to do natural again if I could convince my hubby :)

4.  I am a Jesus freak, planning to homeschool and would love to homestead some day :)

First post here, had trouble finding the group as my last group was in the forums section.

EDD is July 7th, same day as DS!

Baby #3. DS1 is Petri, 4 7/7/07. DS2 is Thierry, 3 9/25/08

I would love to have a home birth or birth center birth. We have to make sure baby is a-ok first, though because DS2 has heart defect that this babe could have as well. DS1 was hospital birth, he was 6 weeks preemie. DS2 was a planned home water birth but things changed to hospital birth because of heart condition.

I am excited about baby # 3, hoping for a girl after 2 (very awesome) boys, but still worried that this babe could have HLHS like DS2. I finally get to cloth diaper this babe. I am excited to start crocheting lots of things for this L/O.

Bryton - TELL ME MORE about your sources for kombucha/raw milk during pregnancy. I'm super interested. I'm interested in the raw milk, but how do you know if you're finding a good place and they dont' get a bunch of stuff in there during the milking/putting in bottles process? TIA! BTW, I love babywearing... and our little guy did everything early - held hisi head up, crawled, walked - even when everyone told me that I was 'holding him too much' - good luck! CDing is great too - you'll be AMAZED even more by the power of the sun!

This group has some FUNNY ladies in it - so happy to be along for the ride!

Hi everyone,

I'm going to post on here too and probably lurk around in this group.  My last baby was due on the 28th of February and she didn't come until a week later.  Once everyone started popping out those babies, my DDC got lonely. :)

1. Due date - June 28th

2. Baby #, and ages of other little ones you might have - Little bean #3, I have a 3 yr old boy and a 1 yr old girl

3. Current birth plans - I'm planning a homebirth

4. One interesting thing we might now know about you! - I secretly wish for twins every time I'm pregnant, even though I know how much more work it would be!

Why don't we all share:

1. Due date

2. Baby #, and ages of other little ones you might have

3. Current birth plans (subject to change, of course) (homebirth, birth center, unassisted, hospital delivery, scheduled C-section, etc.)

4. One interesting thing we might now know about you!

1. Near as I can tell, July 12-ish
2. Dd8, birthdate 8/12; Ds 15mo birthdate 7/30 (he will be just at 2 when baby comes); and this little one--hoping to go late for three leos, yes!
3. No plans of going to a hospital for me! Dd was hosp birth after 23minutes of being there, ds was homebirth w/ midwife after 36hrs start/stop labor, not sure with this one. No cervical checks for either birth wink1.gif Not a big fan of prenatals and feel pretty confident about my health/diet so not planning to commit to a MW til 20 wks which is what we did with ds and I totally do not regret it.
4. Hhhmmm, I dunno, working as a bf peer counselor currently studying for clc with aspirations of pospartum doula-hood and ibclc. Eventually. We have chickens in our yard. I am a huge foodie food lover and devote waaaay too much time to our food quest. We homeschool.

1. Due date: July 18th

2. This is baby #2.  DS, Jack, is currently 23 months

3. Current birth plans:  Unmedicated hospital birth with a midwife.  We had a great birthing experience with #1, and we hope for the same this time around!

4. One interesting thing we might now know about you:  Although sickness hasn't set in quite yet, I hate to admit that sometimes Taco Bell is the only thing that I can stomach eating!  Wierd since I'm usually pretty healthy.  Oh and I really miss coffee right now!

1. July 26th

2. Child #3, but Birth#1. I have an almost 7 year old and almost 4 year old that my husband and I are adopting from foster care.

3. I haven't thought about this as much as I should have. We just randomly started trying and it happened so fast! I think I would like a homebirth... but have to find out more first.

4. I can't think of a good interesting fact.... uh I work at a film production company?

1. Due date: July 14

2. Baby # 4.  Lots of baby #'s 3,4,5 in this group!  We have three boys: 4 (almost 5), 3, and just turned 1.

3. Birth plans:  Planning our third home water birth.

4. My husband and I converted to Catholicism back in '06 and it was the best thing we've ever done.

Nice to see some familiar names from the March 08 club and September 10 club (Hi MaerynPearl!)! I'm shocked to be here, but thrilled nonetheless.
