AndTheStars, that looks like my belly!  I'm already not fitting into some of my maternity clothes that I wore before when I was 8 and 9 months pregnant.  But I think we look great, just the same!  :)

Hey everyone! I am a dedicated lurker on this board.

I have been hearing from everyone how small I am. . .and frankly I it is starting to give me a complex a little. This is my first baby so I wasn't sure what was, 'normal,' for me.

So here is my first baby pic. . .taken yesterday at 24 weeks. Someone told me that day, "You don't even look pregnant!" What do you all think? I think I look pretty pregnant and not like I am just carrying some extra weight, but maybe it is just obvious to me and my husband?

And here is another. . . .not the best picture of me, but I think it shows my belly pretty well. . .

You definitely look pregnant. You're carrying high it looks like? Maybe that confuses people because I have been hearing the same thing and I think everyone is crazy!

27 weeks today. I am having a really hard time imagining continuing to grow at the rate I have the last few weeks!  I feel like my belly is suddenly huge!

GradStudent, people keep telling me the same thing. It's really starting to annoy me, but I think it's because my boobs are so big. They kind of balance out the belly.

Swelldoula, not to snoop, but what's your bed set-up like in the background there? Is it just a mattress on a frame? For the last 8 years we've just had a box spring ont he floor and I haven't wanted to go any higher, but I like your set-up! Way more formal but still low-lying and functional!

It's a platform bed. You don't need to use a box spring with it, just a mattress. We have a king size pillow top on there, but I've heard they work well with the tempur-pedic type mattresses too. I mostly wanted it because I'm planning on cosleeping with this baby, and the height of a regular bed + box spring scares me! It looks nice and neat too. The only thing I don't like about it is that the style we got doesn't have a headboard, so sometimes my pillows slip down between the bed and the wall.

here is me at 24 weeks and 2 days. but the midwife said i was measuring at 26 weeks. lol. i feel huge and i am not even at the end yet.

Everyone looks lovely (and very pregnant). I was doing a pretty good job of avoiding the "bloat-y" look, but I think I'm retaining water again. Sad, but true. Maybe I need more salt? Is that how it works? Or the other way round? 

Okay, here's me, 24 weeks exactly. 

Oh, and eirual, we have a platform bed too - love it, love the low profile. We have a cush futon mattress on ours and it's great. We are going to sell it, though, because it's not worth moving twice a year. You can get them with headboards, too - ours has one. I think IKEA has some really affordable ones too.

You know, I've taken ZERO pictures this pregnancy (after leaving my camera out in the rain in November). I should try to make at least one happen!

Re: Platform Bed,

I think DH is going to make one for us. They're quite pricey, and cheap ones don't seem to have very good reviews. I will look into IKEA though!

I think ours was only around $200. It's worked out just fine, besides the no headboard thing like I said, but it's not really a big deal.
