Anyone taking belly pics yet? - Page 4

Oh, please don't think I'm being petty about this.  I just have mixed emotions personally about the weight gain.  I was very over weight 1 year ago and suffered from PPD after L so I struggled with my weight.  I look back at photos and it doesn't even look like me.  For this reason and this alone, I'm really struggling with my weight and the "in-between" stage of pregnancy.  I am truly trying/going to try to keep my weight under control while pregnant but only because being that over weight definitely played a part in my PPD and not being able to get it under control .... that's all.  I hope you all understand where I'm coming from.

I LOVE looking at pregnant bellies and all you ladies look beautiful.  I agree that 10 weeks or 12 weeks or what ever just looks different on everyone and every pregnancy and I'm sure we are all thankful for what we have right at this moment even if we are up 15 lbs or down 15 lbs.  Thanks for sharing this with me ladies!  luxlove.gif

Oh no, I wasn't thinking anyone was being petty, I was reminding myself NOT to be smile.gif Lord knows I have been with my other pregnancies -- I wrote down every single thing I put in my mouth with my last pregnancy & counted calories! I just don't want to be that way or feel that way this time, if I can help it.

i have been eating so well.  all whole food, no fast food, no wheat, no soda, no junk food and Im still gaining weight like crazy.  my thighs are huge now.  it's very frustrating for me because last time I gained 130 lbs (eating crap all the time) I dont think I will gain that much but I fantasized that this, my last pg, i would be thin and have this cute bump and that's already shot

Becoming, that's exactly how I feel, like I need to count calories to stay ahead of things.  I get on the damn scale several times a day even.  I wish you peace and success this time around mama.

Sharla, I get it!  I have wished time and again that I was one of those cute little pregnant ladies with just the bump out front, but not even once after delivering 6 babies have I been only belly.  :(

I think those ladies are few and far between!  I had dreams of running until the end of my second trimester and being one of them... guess what, baby says NO.  Demanding 100% of my attention already.  winky.gif

I'm trying to focus on eating as healthy as I can, as much protein, fat, and veggies as I can. I can lose the weight later...my baby can never get back this time in her development. I've read an unusual amount of books and literature about fetal development and how our lives play a part in it. Whenever I feel fat or start worrying about calories I try to think about that!

I am sitting my chubby, tired self on the couch with my laptop and a plate of stuffed mushrooms as I write this. biglaugh.gif

Plus, you need to gain at least a little in back to keep from tipping over   lol.gif

Yeah, I'm definitely of the belief that some bodies just hoard the fat during pregnancy no matter what.  Definitely makes for some nice breastmilk later. :)  I'm a big gainers 50-60lbs.  I was hoping to stay around 40lbs this time, but we'll see.  I have a good friend who just gets the belly and then it magically disappears.  She has also never gotten a stretchmark!  She has 4 kids.

I wish it made for good breast milk later ... not for me.  I produce "skim" milk apparently and my babies gain super slow and are always in the 3-5% for everything until they start eating regular food too around 6 months.  When I had to pump for L (in the NICU and the first 14 weeks until she figured out nursing) she was getting more fatty milk but after she started nursing it was different, and B too.  I nursed all of them but B & L nursed the longest.

Well, boo to that!  I figured to just tell myself that so I don't feel as bad about being a big gainer.  My kids are much chubbier while nursing, as soon as I introduce food their growth starts slowing down and they turn into skinny minnies once they wean.

I always see these mamas with super cute chubby babies nursing and gaining like 1 pound a week and just wonder how the heck they do it.  I could nurse mine 24/7 and they'd still be tiny.  Good for you Nicole, that's so awesome!!

My DD is 21 months and only 21lbs!   She was still chubby for the first 10 months and she's barely gained weight since then.  She's pretty short too, though, has been since birth.

i understand. i just lost 40 lbs right before i got preggo. i had been holding onto that weight since before i got preg with DD1. so i am a little sad to see the scale go back up. but, my last preg i was back at the weight i started at the day after delivery. it was bc i was on the Gestational diabetes diet. i will have to do it again i bet. even if i dont i still have to follow the fructose free diet of no sugar, no fructose. if i watch the carbs on top of that i might keep it sane this time. i even cheated a lot on the gd diet. lol. and if i dont, at least i still have my bigger clothes.

At least yours all start out big, mine are teeny tiny at birth too.  My 8 y/o son was the biggest at 7.12 ounces and he was 42w, my smallest was L at 4.6lbs at 33w5d.  The others all started between 6-7lbs.  L is 20m now and weighs 21lbs, B is 3.5 y/o and only weighs 30lbs.

I produce heavy whipping cream instead of milk. My nurslings are 25 pounds by 6 months! LOL. Then they start eating food and stop gaining. My 6-year-old and 4 1/2-year-old are both only 39 pounds right now.

Um, so I guess I'm really pregnant! I put up two pictures because it looks so different , depending on the direction of the light hitting it!! Haha....so, yeah, forgive the dogs, when you have four it's kind of hard to keep them out of shots!! Hahaha!

15 weeks and 5 days....I can't believe I'm almost 16 weeks! I'm officially, as you can see, spending all my days in my DHs PJs!! YAY for men!

I have one of each. DS was born 7'8 and was 25lbs at 1. DD was born 6'11 and was 22lbs at 27 months. She is now 4 1/2 and I am thrilled she has hit 30lbs. I lost a ton of weight quickly with ds, continued to lose until I weaned him, that was the thinnest I had ever been. DD I lost weight very slow and not all of it. I'm wondering if ds was just better at getting to the hind milk.
