need an iron that will last! recommendations?

ACK!  My iron just died and I want to say that is the 3rd iron I have bought in a year....i know I have bought three in the last 2 years, anyway.  2 of them were cheapies, and one was a great big professional one which I bought secondhand from a thrift shop.  I can't sew without an iron and need to replace it ASAP.  My mama said she would buy me a nicer new one, but I don't want to have this happen again, dangit!  It's really frustrating to have it die, as I sew everyday.  So who is making the toughest, longest lasting irons now?  If you have one that you love, please share...

I swear by my Black and Decker Classic  http://www.blackanddeckerappliances.com/p-100-the-classic-iron.aspx  My current one is 4-5 years old.  I use it just about every day as I have a professional dressmaking business in my home.  I don't leave it on all day but turn it off between using it.  I love it because it's heavy and I sew on mostly natural fiber fabrics--lots of wool and linen.  You can get it at Target, Sears, Penney's, Home Depot, etc.
