So sorry to hear your lo is still having problems. It's so hard to see them in pain and not be able to do anything about it. Glad it's only at night for you, but for us its an all day and all night thing. Everytime he eats, really.
We have tried so many things, including all of the obvious ones like holding him up, block nursing, laid back nursing, elimination diets etc... After my last E.D. consisting of only turkey and rice for almost a week, I started seeing a naturopath. Here is my latest thread showing everything that I have tried:
The problem still isn't solved. Naturopath says that the next step is to take my pumped breastmilk and put probiotics in it. Let it sit for 24 hours in the fridge and see how that works. I'm also going to try a hazelwood necklace when I can come up with the money for one.
These will be my last attempts before trying medication. I have a bottle of Zantac sitting in my cabinet from the pediatrician. My first DS didn't respond to it at all and I sometimes wonder if the medication helped cause some of his special needs issues (along with genetics).
I could also just try to wait it out and see if it gets better at 3 months like they say, but it breaks my heart to see him in so much pain - and my first had it for 2.5 years! We rocked/shhsed/held him every night and got no sleep. Actually he still has problems with reflux, it just doesn't bother him as much.
Seems like a hazelwood necklace might help iron out the kinks for your LO. Another poster on here mentioned that she bought the necklace and it "floored" her as far as helping the reflux.
