Terrible body aches

Hey ladies! I'm 36+5 with baby #4. Yesterday I awoke with some cramping that gradually progressed to my butt, back and thighs. By late afternoon my entire body was aching terribly, just like when you have the flu. I haven't had a fever or sore throat or any other signs of being sick. I just.. hurt! All day yesterday I had contractions (not quite BH, but not quite real labor) and pressure. Baby spent most of the night grinding, twisting and slamming his/her head into my pelvis. It was intensely painful. I am still very achy today, having pressure and the baby is very active with tons of big movements. Does this sound like something I should be concerned about? Just a bug? Early labor? I'd prefer the baby stay put a bit longer.. I called my m/w yesterday and she is on the alert now. Thanks so much!

Honestly, I'm not positive but one of my guesses is that it might be your body getting ready for the real deal. Take it easy if you can, rest up, and keep nourishing your body.

Thank you for the response! I now have a fever of 100.2 (was 98.9 this morning), so it seems like it is some sort of illness. Ugh! Going to call my midwife to see what she has to say.
