The Big Thank You Thread!!! - Page 2

I'm so blown away by you wonderful mamas (and families)!

The first gift we recieved was from Burbank, CA..  Thank you so much for the soap, chapstick and gift certificate!  I rarely get anything for myself and I am thrilled to have the chance to buy some long-awaited body care things.  My 10 yr old daughter is also very excited since we share bathroom supplies!  I really can't wait (facial wash is at the top of my list!).  Thank you!

A few days later we recieved a gift from Dayton, OH..  I appreciate the warm clothes for my son so much!  Although he is lucky to have three sisters, it's wonderful that he finally has some 'boy' clothes :)  I haven't had the money (or time) to get him anything since he was born 12 weeks ago (he had 4 outfits, 3 of them being pink) and with the weather getting colder I'm happy to know that he'll be warm and comfortable when we go out!  Thank you!

Today we recieved a third gift via tinytush..  New diapers!!  Wow!  I can't even express how nice it is to have two more pocket diapers for our son!  We have a few cloths but no dryer so I'm pretty much washing and hanging diapers daily..  I'm so excited to have a couple more so I can do less laundry and spend more time holding the baby :)  Thank you!

And to all of the other mamas and families out there- You are so special and kind!  I'm amazed at how much love comes from this program and how compassionate all of you are!  Keep on loving and have a wonderful holiday season!

To the wonderful family that sent my daughter the craft kit, Thank you from the bottom of my heart! As I opened the box, I gasped. As I just kept pulling thing after thing out that my daughter is absolutely going to adore, I broke down in tears. This gift is so incredibly generous and sweet of you! As I went through all of the goodies, I couldn't help but feel like you might know my daughter, that is how perfect all of these things are! This Thanksgiving, I am so thankful for all the wonderful angels out there that have helped our family.

When I first got the msg. that my family had been accepted for HH I broke down and cried. I am so touched by the kindness of perfect strangers. I cant begin to thank you all enough for this blessing. It has been a very difficult yr. for my children, I am so grateful for the help so I can bring some joy to them Christmas morning.

Thank you ao much to Sarahs Silks for the really awesome startail for my 4 year old son. I know he will have such a blast playing with it. Its SUCH a neat, creative toy!

And thank you to the wonderful person who sent me two cd's. I NEVER buy for myself and was so excited to have new music to listen to! In that box as well was a simply GORGEOUS leather bound journal. It is so beautiful. I cried when I took it out of the box. My best friend passed away in January and he was a great inspiration to me and my poetry. But since his passing I have struggled with my writing.I have nt written anything since the day he died. I just havent felt that passion....holding that journal I KNEW in my heart it was time to begin writing again. To the kind soul who gave it, you perhaps just thought it was a pretty blank journal I could get some use out of....but to me, it symbolizes the potential for fresh starts and new beginnings.

THANK YOU.

Dear Gladrags!

Boy, I feel completely and utterly grateful for the generosity that you've shared through your gift of Mama Cloth. I received your package in the mail this afternoon and to be honest, my day was immediately brightened. Now, I don't have to worry about whether I'd have the funds each month to purchase pads or tampons that won't cause an allergic reaction.....I can now just wash and reuse my own supply of Mama Cloth. This takes a whole lot of stress from my shoulders. I thank you again!

Today we received two boxes on the doorstep from Amazon but I was confused because I hadn't ordered anything.

To the Holiday Helper who sent us the watercolor paper pads, thank you so much! My kids both absolutely love painting but watercolor paper is so expensive that they end up using typing paper a lot and it can be frustrating since it is so thin and curls and bleeds through. They will both be so happy to have nice thick paper and plenty of it! Thank you!

And to the Holiday Helper who sent a big box of gifts for my kids, WOW! DD is going to love her stacker- it is really wonderful! And DS is going to be SO happy about the Pirate Dinosaurs book and his dress up clothes and the cutting food. Really, they are the perfect things for him, he will be over the moon. He asks for play food all the time and he is OBSESSED with pirates and dinosaurs right now. I love that the costume is reversible- he will get a huge kick out of that. Your generosity is really amazing and I can't thank you enough for giving my kids an amazing Christmas.

Thank you, Holiday Helpers!

I love opening the mailbox to see a package instead of junk mail or a bill.  I big package from FL with a bunch of hair stuff for my daughter!!  You do not understand how happy this made me!  She loves having her hair put up but it never fails we loose multiple har things per week.  We are down to no clips, so this package will help us so much!  You just made a little girl very happy!

One day we arrived home to see a package waitng for us at the door.  After the kids went to bed I opened it to see it was filled with hannuka items!  The kids' father is Jewish and we still celebrate the holiday so they can learn and share in his culture and religion.  I don't have money for christmas stuff and can barely find hannuka stuff, let alone have the money for it.  These items are very special for us to help me to continue to share with them the holiday.

The last package that arrived in themailbox today made me sqeel in delight.  MAMA PADS!!!!!  hehhe  A gift for me!!!  I've been in such a need for these.  You do not even want to know how old the ones i were using were.  I was looking at them today just wishing I didn't have to keep using them.  And you came along and answered my prayers!

You ladies are just amazing!  Your kindness and caring just blows me away.  Thank you all so much for opening your hearts to remember others.  I do not know how to express ow much this means to me.
Thank you!!

The same Holiday Helper who sent us watercolor paper also sent us two huge boxes of mini glitter glue pens which arrived today! My DS is going to be over the moon, he is of the opinion that no project is complete without a nice dose of glitter :) I am going to let him use a few before Christmas to make ornament gifts for his grandparents and other family and then put the rest in both kid's stockings! Thank you so very very much, we so appreciate your kindness

Dear Glad Rags,

Thank you so much for the Mama cloth! It is so soft and beautiful... and it's the first time I have ever had REAL cloth pads. I have sewn up a few terry cloth wash cloths for the past few years but have never had anything this nice. I'm almost excited to start AF this month just so I can use them! It's so nice to have something new and beautiful for myself... Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

WOW!

I am so thankful to the wonderful helpers who chose to give to our family.

The first package I received contained measuring cups / spoons, and a grocery gift card!

Our second package contained many wonderful, soft dolls for my girls to play with.  I admit, I gave them a couple that day and they loved them! :)

Our third package contained two brand new pairs of jeans for my oldest DD.  They fit perfectly!  These were desperately needed, as she recently had a growth spurt and every pair of jeans she owned were too short or too tight.

Again, I can not express how thankful I am to have this wonderful community willing to help in our time of need.

2 Thank You's from FIN #18:

1.) THANK YOU to Camacho for sending my almost-born baby some new blankets! I am going to save the receiving blankets for Xmas, but the Winnie the Pooh Blanket I am going to use right away when he is born! It is so soft and cuddly, and I can't wait to wrap him in it for our car-rides! My older 2 always got their own cuddly blankie for their births and I am so thrilled that he is going to be able to have his own too! Thank you so much!

2.) THANK YOU to Julie at One Lucky Mama for the Cloth Diaper Covers and the beautiful wipes! I have lots of infant prefolds to cloth diaper with, but had no covers for them! And they are so super adorable!!! And the wipes are so cute and soft! I can't wait to use them! Your generosity has blessed our family and our new little one more than words can express! Thank you again, so much!!!

Happy Holidays,

We were on our way home from spending the weekend with out of town family. My husband left for a week long training for the new job he has gotten before we got home. We were zippin along and 5 miles from our home, my truck breaks down. God was watching and all the necessary people were in place to get us home.

Alone, with kids in bed, I open the box to find brand new outfits for my little boy. We were very blessed with hand me downs for our first boy (after 4 girls) but the size he is in now is the wrong season for the hand me down clothes. These are perfect. I called my Dh immediately and we both love how God has shown us today through the man who stopped to let me use his cell phone when we broke down and then through you and the kindness of your family, that wonderful people are just around the corner.

Mama, I don't know who you are or where you are, but please know we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The nap sack is wonderful and I've wanted one since I first saw them. Despite a stressful weekend and a broken truck, our hearts are full at Christmas.

Thank you and May God Bless you abundantly!

Sorry for not posting these sooner, but I wanted to say the Holiday Helpers are AMAZING.  So many packages, and each one has brought tears of gratitude to my eyes.

To the HH's from Florida - the baby clothes are PERFECT.  Thank you ever so much, my little girl will be cozy and warm because of you!

To the HH's from Illinois - thank you for the sling... OMG, I shouted with joy when I opened it.  So absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!!!!

To the HH's from Canada - The clothes for my son were a perfect fit!  In fact, he's so in love with the "Christmas tree sweater" that he wanted to sleep in it!

To Paul & Miriam in New Jersey - the videos will be a huge hit... I am using them as stocking stuffers for my son!  And the blankets???  Wow, I cried.  So lovely, especially the pink and white puppy!

To the HH's from North Carolina - I simply cannot put into words how extremely appreciated the maternity clothes are.  I am overwhelmed with gratitude - these were a total lifesaver.  THANK YOU.

To the HH's from Canada - The box of clothes arrived at exactly the right time... my son really needed some pants!!  He just tore the knee out of the last pair of khakis that fit him and your package arrived that very afternoon!  They're a bit big in the waist, so he had an excuse to wear a belt he'd been wanting to try!  Also, right about then, my daughter started to get upset that she hadn't gotten any clothes, and there in the box under the pants were her sweaters!  She just squealed with excitement.... and my 3-year old son keeps happily playing the musical toy and holding it up to my belly, telling the baby to sing.  Thank so very, very much.

ALL OF YOU ARE ANGELS.  I am so overcome with gratitude towards every single one of my Helpers.  Know that all of you are in my thoughts and wishes for the warmest, most blessed holiday season ever.
