MeredithA I love your cat. It's good you don't live nearby, or you'd be at risk for a catnapping.
We've fostered litters of kittens from the shelter over the years. It's super rewarding but also heartbreaking since many of them don't make it. It's also a lot of work, you have to bottle/syringe feed them, groom them, etc. Because the street cats are full of diseases including toxoplasmosis, fostering is off-limits while I'm pregnant.
I think once we move into our new place, we may get a permanent resident cat. I'm worried that 2-3 months won't be enough adjustment time for the cat to get used to the house before the baby shows up though.
How could you say no to a cat like this though?
