Charter schools In Texas?

My step-mom is looking for H/Sing info for her area (The Woodlands, TX... about 30 min. north of Houston) and I was wanting to send her some links to some charter schools... but I can not find any!?!?! Where I live, they have schools that are technically public schools, but you can choose most (if not all) of the curriculum you use, they give it to you for free, and you teach your child at home. And then they can come and do some classes if they want to. Are these not called charter schools? Does anyone know of ANYTHING like this in that area - cause I am having a really hard time finding anything at all...

The Connections Academy partners with the Houston ISD.  You can find out more info:  http://www.connectionsacademy.com/texas-houston-school/home.aspx

Great Oak School in Tomball, TX, which is 30 minutes from the woodlands has a parents child program, nursery and outreach programs for Waldorf homeschoolers, next year they are starting a grade one program, but will still have the homeschooling program. Shining star school in Houston also have the same programs available.  As far as charter schools go, I believe you meant to put this thread under "learning at school".
