Madison area midwife willing to attend a twin homebirth??

My 3 kids were born unassisted, and I'm 9weeks into #4, planning another UC except... We're starting to suspect twins.

So I'm exploring my options.

If I chose a hospital birth, it'd be through meriter and it looks like they'd send me to a high-risk OB which would be very difficult, not only because I've ONLY given birth unassisted & I don't think i'd adjust well to the shock of it, but also because I feel that *high risk* label = lots of interventions = More risk. (I'll of course explore this with my midwives if they confirm twins)  In the meantime, I already emailed one midwife at heart & hands and she said she wouldn't do a twin homebirth... Any ideas?

TIA

If you are willing to travel the Aurora hospital in Oshkosh is wonderful!  There are 5 midwives and I loved all of them.  It was the lowest interventionbirth you can imagine, no iv, doppler monitoring, eat during labor, no mention of drugs, nice big tubs, etc,  I had a homebirth w my first but our insurance changed and we had to do this hospital although we drove over an hour to get there.  It was like a homebirth in their home.  It would be different from a UC but it may be a good option...oh and 2 of the mw have office hours in fond du lac.

I believe my CPM in the Milwaukee area told me she is not legally allowed to attend a twin (or breech) homebirth in Wisconsin.

Thank you for the information.  Ultrasound confirmed last month that our intuition was correct -- we were expecting twins -- however, only one had a heartbeat (vanishing twin syndrom,) so the pregnancy will continue as a singleton.

Anyone with other resources/information to share, please continue to do so.  I'm sure there are others the information will be relevant for and I am a doula, so I like to collect this kind of knowledge even if I won't be needing it for this pregnancy.

Thanks again <3
