23 weeks and 3 days, on hospital bedrest until baby comes

I won't go any later than 35 weeks b/c of the risk of infection (my bag of waters has a leak).  I've been in the hospital since Wednesday evening and am going to hang out here until I go into labor or until I get an infection and baby needs to come out.  I came in with bleeding and contractions, and am still spotting some, and leaking occasionally.  (Baby is making fluid w/ his good bladder and kidneys but then it hits wherever the leak is and comes out again.)  I had to be on mag sulfate for 12 hours.  Woo, that was fun, lol.  Now I'm on IV antibiotics for another 12 hours, then will be on oral for five days. 

This is going to be a L&D experience unlike any I've ever experienced (drug-free easy delivery with DD, homebirth with DS#1).  I'm going to hang out here and peruse the threads.  Any other bedresting mamas on here?

I'm not currently on bedrest, but I wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you.  I'm crossing my fingers you have a long, uneventful hospital stay before you deliver.

With my son who is now 5, my water broke at 25 weeks and I was on hospital bed rest for 4 weeks before I went into labor at 29 weeks. Hang in there - you can do it! Do whatever you can to not stress and relax- it really helps.

I wanted to share my story with you.....

At 20 weeks I was rush to L&D 4cm dilated.  They told me my baby would not make it.  I laid in L&D for a week, the baby did not come.  I was sent to high risk and told, the baby will not make it.  I laid in L&D for 3 weeks and my water broke. With my water broke I laid in bed for another week.  My Son came at 24.5 days.  He spent 116 days in the NICU and there is basically not a thing wrong with him.  He was born in July and came home last week.

I know your story well. It's stressful path but it will be ok.  If you have faith, lay there and give into your not going to get out of that bed until the baby comes. LOL  It was so hard but you can do!

Just an update, my baby was born at 25w5d by emergency C-section due to complete placental abruption.  He is doing well so far.  :)
