For YEARS now the soul of my left foot is constantly "dry". It cracks deeply enough to bleed & hurt on a regular basis. The cracks/dryness always appear in a long, flaky appearance. I've treated this for athlete's foot multiple times with no improvement, even temporarily. It does seem to be slightly better if I am barefoot but being in Canada that's not possible a good chunk of the year.

My doctor & a dermatologist both say it's just dry skin but I just don't buy it. I treat both feet the same but the right one is perfect while the left is AWFUL. I use a pumice on my feet pretty much every time I shower just too keep the cracking down but even that isn't great.

I've tried all sorts of over the counter & prescription lotions/potions/creams - mostly for athlete's foot but nothing helps. I've also tried tea tree oil. With all of these I try to be really consistent with applying at least twice a day. I pay attention to drying my feet properly. I've also tried attacking like it is just dry skin with thick heavy foot creams twice daily & that doesn't do anything either.

Any ideas? I'm so sick of this & it's kind of embarasing during barefoot season.
