So, my son Z hasn't had a surgery that required him to come back to his room intubated for a while. Definitely not while my youngest has been old enough to remember.

We are coming up on a surgery where we KNOW he will have a breathing tube in for at least a day or so.  I'm torn. I want B to see his brother at all points in his life, even when he's in the hospital. But I also don't know if this one of those time where we should try and hold off until he's a little older...  The last time Z was in the hospital B got past the worriedness and saying "Owwies?" every five seconds within the first 12 hours.

Anyone have any input?  I'm just not sure whether or not to let the little guy see his beloved brother with the tube or if it will be a horribly traumatizing for him... I'm thinking a big part of this will be B watching how we react to Z being intubated...  Help?

Thx.
