I made some felted merino wool ones, though I never ended up leaking, so I can't tell you how they worked. Lanolized, like wool soakers though, so I assume they'd be awesome on the nipples. They aren't hard to make at all, but I know you can buy them too.

OOooh I love baby baths with a parent.  Such special time!  We didn't buy a baby tub because we bathe with them (or I just lean over the tub and hold them for a quick bath.)  

related question:  how long do you bathe with your babes?

I still bathe with all the kids. The 4.5 yr old has just started asking to shower by herself, but she's just as likely to take a bath with my toddler and/or myself, or shower with me. I attempted to take all 3 kids in the tub once; it didn't go very well. Jack is not a fan of all the toys and splashing the big kids do.

Yeah I still bathe with my nearly 3 year old.  It isn't weird for either of us, and I usually just pop in and out fast and then let him play.  I just didn't know how much longer we could keep doing it without it being... inappropriate?  Thoughts?

Yes, it is fun.  There are quite a few ddc mamas in our group that live in the area.  J came to our play group once, I've been trying to get her to come again.  ;)  I think that Katie is going to be moving here soon as well, hopefully she'll join us too!

I think it's fine until he starts to stare at your privates or asks too many questions.  Maybe 4ish?

Haha!  I want to come, but Owen naps during that time and I haven't been able to successfully move his nap time without some serious meltdowns.  I'm not yet ready for him to give up his 3-hour late morning nap yet either (especially with Dylan here, too!)

Hmmm maybe I should stop then.  Now that Dylan is here Owen has been asking a lot more questions about genitals, and is interested in the fact that I don't have a penis like he, daddy, and Dylan do.  Would it be okay for him to shower with DH though, still?

I remember seeing my mom naked up until a few years ago. I mean, if I were a guy it'd probably be different, but still. I figure when my kids start showing more modesty, i.e. not wanting me to see them naked, that's when it's time to cover up. IMO, making a big deal of nudity/genitals/differences between people can be more damaging than seeing parents naked. I've always been upfront with DD about body parts and the correct names for genitals, and we've never made a big deal out of nudity. Frankly, the big kids run around naked half the time. We've only just started making DD wear clothes around the house, and mostly because we live in an apartment and people walk by our windows on a regular basis!

Yeah it probably weirds me out more than them, but since I have two sons I guess I think it's more of an issue than if I had a daughter.  I just know that my DH remembers seeing his mom naked and it's kind of.... troubling?  I don't know.  I guess it depends on the kid/ family dynamic.

My kids still see me nurse all the time.  They are 6 and 8.

This morning my 8 year old was telling me his oldest memories.  He was around18 months.  My memory goes back to around then, too.  I'm not sure how common that is, tho.

I think nursing is different.  My DS is 8 and around 3 I quite being naked in front of him, and we quit showering together a little before this.  BUT, I still (and always have) nursed in front of him.  I want to normalize breastfeeding as best as I can- Im not exposing myself, Im feeding his sister, you know?

And now, here is Bettie, hanging out in her crib that she has never slept in   She is very serious...

I think bathing is bathing, not exposing myself.  But we are not especially modest.
